Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care for adults in the progressive care unit, including monitoring vital signs, hemodynamic status, and response to clinical changes.
• Administer medications and IV therapies as ordered, with accurate documentation in the patient chart.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans in collaboration with the health care team.
• Perform ongoing patient assessment, recognize deteriorating conditions, and escalate promptly per protocol.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and ensure smooth handoffs during shift changes.
• Support discharge planning and patient/family education in coordination with the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license to practice in Texas (or applicable compact licensure).
• PCU or related acute inpatient care experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification recommended.
• Ability to work 8-hour evening shifts in a hospital setting.
• Willingness to participate in a travel assignment and comply with assignment duration and location terms.
