Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to obstetric and postpartum patients as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Monitor maternal and fetal status; administer medications and nursing interventions per physician orders.
• Assist with labor, delivery, cesarean sections, and recovery as needed; support newborn care.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, monitor vital signs, and respond to clinical changes promptly.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record; educate patients and families; uphold safety and infection control standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse managers, and ancillary staff to meet care standards and improve patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted RN license in Georgia.
• Experience in labor and delivery or obstetric nursing is preferred.
• Ability to work nights and 12-hour shifts.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital environment.
