Job Description – Frontend Technical Lead (React.js & Node.js)

Experience: 8–12 Years

Industry: Beauty Retail / eCommerce

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Frontend Technical Lead with strong expertise in React.js and Node.js to drive the development of scalable, high-performance digital commerce applications for a leading beauty retail client. The role requires strong technical leadership, client engagement, and onsite–offshore coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead frontend design, architecture, and development using React.js, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Drive technical decisions, code reviews, performance optimization, and best practices.
• Develop reusable UI components and integrate REST APIs and backend services.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders, product owners, and architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Coordinate with offshore teams, resolve technical blockers, and ensure quality delivery.
• Support eCommerce journeys including product discovery, cart, checkout, and personalization.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on expertise in React.js, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Experience with Redux, React Hooks, REST APIs, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, performance, and security.
• Experience with Agile, Git, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Proven technical leadership and excellent client-facing communication skills.
• Experience working in onsite–offshore delivery models.

Good to Have

• Experience with Next.js, GraphQL, and micro-frontends.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Experience in retail/eCommerce, preferably beauty or luxury retail.
• Knowledge of headless commerce and platforms such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud or Adobe Commerce.

Ideal Candidate

A hands-on technical lead with strong React.js and Node.js expertise, capable of independently managing client technical discussions and driving delivery with offshore engineering teams.
