About this role
Have you ever desired to work at a company that is positively impacting the lives of a wide array of individuals through various avenues? At Green Alpha Property Management (part of ECA), everything that we do is centered around the goal of improving the lives of each of our stakeholders.
ECA is seeking a Financial Analyst to own capital expenditure (CapEx) tracking, analysis and bank draw processes, while leading the use of AI to modernize how our finance team works. You will manage the full CapEx draw cycle with our lenders, deliver clear analysis of capital spending against budget, and support core financial analysis and reporting.
This role is built for someone who sees a manual spreadsheet process and immediately thinks about how to automate it. Hands-on AI experience is required: you will identify repetitive, manual finance workflows and redesign them with AI tools to improve speed, accuracy and visibility.
Key Responsibilities
------------------------
CapEx bank draws
- Prepare, compile and submit CapEx bank draw requests to lenders on schedule.
- Gather and validate supporting documentation, including invoices, lien waivers, contractor pay applications and proof of payment.
- Reconcile draw requests to project budgets, the general ledger and loan agreements.
- Track draw status, funding receipts and remaining loan availability by project.
- Serve as the day-to-day contact for lenders, inspectors and internal project teams on draw questions.
CapEx analysis and reporting
- Track capital spending by project against approved budgets and forecasts.
- Analyze variances, identify cost overruns early and explain drivers to finance leadership.
- Build and maintain CapEx forecasts, cash flow projections and project-level reporting.
- Support capital budgeting, including ROI, payback and NPV analysis for proposed investments.
- Maintain accurate fixed asset and construction-in-progress (CIP) records in partnership with accounting.
AI-driven process improvement
- Identify manual, repetitive finance processes and redesign them using AI tools and automation.
- Use AI to speed up document review, data extraction, reconciliations and report preparation, starting with the bank draw process.
- Build repeatable prompts, templates and workflows that others on the finance team can use.
- Validate AI outputs for accuracy and maintain appropriate controls and audit trails.
- Document new processes and train team members on AI-enabled workflows.
- Measure and report time saved and accuracy gains from process changes.
General financial analysis
- Support month-end close, account reconciliations and journal entry preparation as needed.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, dashboards and variance analysis.
- Assist with annual budgeting and periodic forecasting.
- Respond to ad hoc analysis requests from the VP of Finance and leadership.
- Support audit requests and compliance with loan covenants and internal controls.
Required Qualifications
---------------------------
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance from a four-year accredited institution.
- 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, corporate finance or accounting.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience using AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot or similar) to automate or improve business processes.
- Advanced Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables and financial modeling.
- Solid understanding of GAAP, fixed assets and capital accounting.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including with lenders and senior leadership.
- Familiarity with ERP and reporting systems; experience with Power BI and Oracle a plus.
Benefits
------------
- 401(k) with Matching
- Medical / Dental / Vision / Life insurance
- Paid Time Off
- Short term disability
