Staff Accountant for Public Accounting firm

Education Requirements: Bachelors of Accounting degree (preferred, not required)

Experience Requirement: 2 - 4 years of experience as a staff accountant, internal auditor, a full charge bookkeeper, or tax preparer.

Job Duties:

• Performs pre-audit tasks, such as preparing analytical procedures.
• Performs audit field work tasks at client locations.
• Performs post field work tasks, such as writing audit reports.
• Prepares financial statements for tax clients using QuickBooks.
• Enters tax information into the tax program, Lacerte.
• Prepares journal entries as needed.
• Prepares financial statements for review by CPA.
• Maintains a quarterly recap of payroll reports.
• Willing to travel 2-3 times per week to client's location.

Bonus Qualifications (not required, but extremely desired):

• CPA or CPA candidate
• Experience with Yellow Book Auditing
• Experience with Corporate or Non-profit tax returns.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
