Certified Public Accountant - In office

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with strong expertise in tax preparation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, etc.)
• Conduct tax research and provide clients with accurate tax planning and compliance advice
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and ensure compliance with current federal, state, and local tax laws
• Manage multiple client engagements and deliver high-quality work within deadlines
• Communicate directly with clients to gather information, discuss financial data, and explain tax implications
• Stay current on changes in tax regulations and accounting standards
• Assist with IRS or state tax audits and correspondence as needed
• Support bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, and general accounting functions (if applicable)

Qualifications

• Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license (required)
• 3+ years of experience in public accounting or tax preparation (individual and business)
• In-depth knowledge of federal and state tax laws and compliance
• Proficiency in accounting and tax software (e.g., QuickBooks, Lacerte, or similar)
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Preferred Skills

• Experience with tax planning for small businesses and high-net-worth individuals
• Familiarity with payroll, sales tax, and multi-state returns
• Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
