About this role

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assess, plan, and implement personalized occupational therapy programs to help individuals within the pediatric population improve their daily functioning and developmental goals. We are a locally owned and operated pediatric outpatient clinic.

We treat a variety of diagnoses from autism to visual processing delays. This position is open to OT and COTAs looking for a career that will not only make an impact but fit your lifestyle and goals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate patients’ physical, cognitive, sensory, and emotional needs using standardized tools and clinical judgment.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with patient goals, medical conditions, and evidence-based practices.
  • Implement targeted occupational therapy interventions to improve motor skills, sensory processing, self-care abilities, and functional independence.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility to promote autonomy.
  • Collaborate with Speech Therapists to help clients meet their goals.
  • Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately documenting assessments, treatment progress, discharge plans, and clinical notes in compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Support discharge planning by preparing clients and parents for transition from outpatient to home programs.

Qualifications

  • Valid license or certification as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. SoonerCare credentialing is a plus.
  • Proven experience working with Pediatric population is a plus, new grads encouraged to apply.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and neurodevelopmental disorders including autism spectrum disorders.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective treatment plans tailored to diverse populations including pediatrics populations.
  • Experience conducting occupational therapy assessments and implementing evidence-based interventions for physical rehabilitation and cognitive support.
  • Familiarity with medical documentation standards and electronic health records (EHR) management systems.
  • Excellent client communication skills along with the ability to collaborate effectively within interprofessional teams.
