About this role

Job Overview

Duo-Gard is seeking a driven, relationship-oriented Regional Account Manager to grow our presence with leading architecture firms, general contractors (GCs), and other key industry partners throughout the Northeast.

In this role, you will serve as a primary representative of Duo-Gard, promoting our portfolio of architectural canopy, walkway, glazing, and other building-envelope solutions.

Your primary objective will be to build lasting relationships with key decision-makers, educate design and construction professionals on our capabilities, and influence projects early in the design process to secure product specifications and create long-term sales opportunities.

This is a field-based, highly relationship-driven position for someone who enjoys being on the road, developing new business, and becoming a trusted resource to architects, specifiers, project managers, and construction leaders. Success will come from establishing a strong network of industry relationships, identifying emerging project opportunities, and positioning Duo-Gard products as preferred solutions for future projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key architecture firms, general contractors, and other strategic partners throughout the Northeast.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with architects, principals, specification writers, project managers, preconstruction teams, and other influential decision-makers.
  • Develop account strategies for priority firms, identifying key contacts, growth opportunities, and pathways to increase Duo-Gard's presence.
  • Work with architects and specifiers to incorporate Duo-Gard products into project designs and construction specifications.
  • Provide product education, design guidance, technical resources, and relevant project examples to support the specification process.
  • Coordinate lunch-and-learns, continuing education presentations, product demonstrations, and other educational outreach initiatives.
  • Identify upcoming commercial, institutional, healthcare, higher education, transportation, and other architectural projects that align with Duo-Gard's capabilities.
  • Monitor projects from early design and conceptual planning through specification, bidding, and construction.
  • Identify upcoming commercial, institutional, healthcare, higher education, transportation, and other architectural projects that align with Duo-Gard's capabilities.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in architectural sales, building products, construction, specification sales, or business development; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Experience developing relationships with architecture firms, general contractors, design professionals, or other construction industry stakeholders.
  • Understanding of the architectural design and construction process, including specifications, bidding, and project procurement.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new business opportunities and sustain long-term professional relationships.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable managing a large geographic territory with limited day-to-day supervision.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the Northeast, including frequent overnight stays.

Why Join Duo-Gard?

This is an opportunity to play a meaningful role in expanding the reach of a specialized architectural products business. The position combines relationship development, architectural design influence, technical product education, and strategic business development.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build a territory, develop lasting industry relationships, and help shape how Duo-Gard products are incorporated into future projects.
