About this role

Company Overview

--------------------

Docusign brings agreements to life. Over 1.5 million customers and more than a billion people in over 180 countries use Docusign solutions to accelerate the process of doing business and simplify people’s lives. With intelligent agreement management, Docusign unleashes business-critical data that is trapped inside of documents.

Until now, these were disconnected from business systems of record, costing businesses time, money, and opportunity. Using Docusign’s Intelligent Agreement Management platform, companies can create, commit, and manage agreements with solutions created by the #1 company in e-signature and contract lifecycle management (CLM).

What you'll do

------------------

As a Software Engineer on the Storage and Data Pipeline Infrastructure team, you will help build the systems that ingest, process, store, and serve data for Docusign products and internal engineering teams. You will work on reliable, scalable infrastructure across cloud storage, distributed processing, data pipelines, and service integrations.

You will contribute to well-defined features and components with guidance from senior engineers, develop strong software engineering practices, and grow your ability to own work across the development lifecycle. This role is a fit for an engineer who enjoys solving infrastructure problems, learning new technologies, and collaborating across teams.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Manager, Engineering.

Responsibility

  • Design, implement, test, and maintain software components for storage and data pipeline infrastructure
  • Build reusable ingestion and processing capabilities for data from multiple source systems and storage technologies
  • Develop batch and incremental pipeline workflows that move data through raw, normalized, and curated storage layers
  • Implement data validation, schema handling, deduplication, checkpointing, retry, and error-handling mechanisms
  • Write production-quality code with unit, integration, and operational testing
  • Contribute to cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, configuration, and CI/CD workflows
  • Add telemetry, dashboards, alerts, and runbooks that help teams monitor pipeline health, data freshness, latency, and failures
  • Participate in design reviews and provide estimates for assigned features and tasks
  • Investigate defects and production issues, identify root causes, and implement durable fixes
  • Collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, product managers, security partners, and platform teams
  • Apply secure access patterns, tenant isolation, data retention, and privacy requirements to infrastructure and data workflows
  • Document technical decisions, operational procedures, and service interfaces
