Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing patients’ quality of life by developing and implementing personalized occupational therapy programs.
You will work with diverse populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorders, and those recovering from acute or post-acute care. Your expertise will help patients regain independence in daily activities, improve motor skills, and achieve their rehabilitation goals through evidence-based practices and collaborative care.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans targeting functional improvements and patient goals
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility to promote independence
- Implement occupational therapy programs tailored for pediatric populations, including early intervention and school-based services
- Support discharge planning by coordinating care plans with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring smooth transitions across care settings
- Document clinical progress accurately using electronic health records (EHR) management systems and maintain detailed medical documentation in compliance with healthcare standards
- Collaborate with speech therapists, physical therapists, case managers, educators, and other professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Provide education and training to patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and adaptive strategies for ongoing support
Experience
- Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities across various age groups including pediatrics.
- Hands-on experience in occupational therapy assessments and treatment plan development within inpatient, outpatient, or home health environments
- Experience working with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorders and supporting clients with special education needs in school settings
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and evidence-based practices relevant to occupational therapy
- Skilled in implementing occupational therapy programs for physical rehabilitation and occupational health cases
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems for clinical documentation and case management purposes
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients of diverse backgrounds while fostering interprofessional collaboration
