Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel & Local Contract OpportunityProvidence, Rhode Island13-Week Contract | Nights | 36 Hours Guaranteed

We are actively seeking experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurses (RN) for a high-paying contract opportunity in Providence, RI. This position offers the chance to work in a specialized Women's Health setting providing care for laboring mothers, antepartum patients, and high-risk obstetric cases.

Pay Rates

• Travel RN: $75.00/hour
• Local RN: $70.00/hour
• 36 Hours Guaranteed Weekly
• Weekly Pay

Estimated Weekly Gross

• Travel: $2,700/week
• Local: $2,520/week

Assignment Details

• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Start Date: November 2026
• Shift: Night Shift
• Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Hours: 36 Hours Per Week

Unit Information

This role will float between:

• Labor & Delivery (L&D)
• Antepartum Care Unit (ACU)

Nurses will care for maternity patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and antepartum admissions, including high-risk obstetric populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to Labor & Delivery and Antepartum patients
• Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout hospitalization
• Perform patient assessments and ongoing evaluations
• Develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and postpartum care
• Coordinate discharge planning and patient transitions
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation

Requirements

• Active RN License
• Minimum 1-2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
• Recent Antepartum and/or High-Risk OB experience preferred
• Strong fetal monitoring experience
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced Women's Health environment
