About this role
WHO WE ARE
Come join the company at the center of how the world adopts AI securely. Cyera’s mission is to give enterprises the confidence to embrace AI safely — deciding exactly what it can see and do as it reaches deeper into the business. We started by solving the hardest problem in data security: finding and securing data faster and more precisely than anyone thought possible.
That foundation is now the essential AI trust infrastructure for the Fortune 1000. We’re hiring mission-driven talent to put those leaders at the center of our story.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We're looking for an experienced Account Manager to own the renewal motion for a book of enterprise customers. This is a foundational hire on a newly built renewals team within Customer Experience, reporting to the Senior Director, Global Renewals. You will drive each renewal from early planning to on-time closure, own the forecast and the visibility around it, and work closely with the Account Team.
In our model, Renewals is responsible for the renewal process, the forecast, and early risk detection, while the Account Executive remains Accountable for the commercial outcome and the customer relationship. You will partner closely with Customer Success, Deal Desk, Legal, Finance, and Sales Operations, and help define the playbooks, handoffs, and reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Renewal Execution & Forecasting
- Drive the end-to-end renewal process for your book, from early planning through quote, contracting, negotiation support, and on-time close, including multi-year terms, co-terming, pricing uplifts, and partner, reseller, and marketplace renewals
- Deliver against the team's core KPIs: cohort renewal rate (renewals closed as a share of those up for renewal in the period), on-time renewal performance, and forecast accuracy
- Maintain an accurate renewal forecast and clear visibility into each renewal's stage and quote status from kickoff to signature, and report it regularly to leadership
Risk & Retention
- Accurately forecast risk once identified to ensure a plan can be put in place well in advance of the renewal
- Own execution of the save plan (the actions to retain an at-risk customer) alongside the Sales and Customer Success
- Partner with Sales and Customer Success on renewal strategy, pricing, and negotiation, and support executive conversations on large accounts
- Analyze renewal and churn trends and share insights with Product, Customer Success, and GTM teams
Process & Partnership
- Run clear handoffs across Renewals, Sales, Customer Success, Legal, and Deal Desk
- Work with Finance and Sales Operations to streamline approvals, paperwork, and CRM data quality
- Build renewal playbooks, account plans, workflows, dashboards, and reporting that shorten cycle time and reduce manual work
Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience in renewals, account management, customer success, or sales/revenue operations, with direct ownership of a renewal-rate or retention number
- Experience managing renewals for enterprise accounts, including multi-year contracts, executive stakeholders, and customers across regions and time zones
- Strong experience in cybersecurity, data security, cloud security, or AI, with the ability to discuss customer value, adoption, and risk credibly with security and data leaders
- Experience negotiating or supporting complex enterprise contracts, including working with Legal on redlines and Finance on pricing approvals
- Ability to partner with Sales in a model where renewals execution is separate from commercial deal ownership
- Strong forecasting skills, with fluency in Salesforce and CPQ/CLM tools and the analytical ability to turn data into clear recommendations
- Experience improving processes, dashboards, or reporting with measurable impact, and comfort creating visibility where tooling falls short
- Executive presence and excellent cross-functional communication skills
- Experience with Clari, Ironclad, Gainsight, or similar tools, and with using AI tools to improve forecasting and workflows, is a plus
- This is a US-based position; West Coast or Central time zones are preferred, and we are open to candidates anywhere in the US
- Ability to travel approximately 25%
