Job description

About this role

Core America provides consulting expertise and software that help facility-management and cleaning organizations operate cleaner, healthier, and safer facilities. Our customers include leading institutions, universities, businesses, and other organizations managing complex facility operations.

Our software supports inspections, reporting, work management, and performance improvement. Because Core America offers both software and professional services, we have a valuable opportunity to turn deep industry expertise and recurring customer needs into scalable software capabilities.

The opportunity

Core America is seeking a Senior Product Manager to help shape product decisions and lead the execution, adoption, and continued improvement of our product portfolio.

This person will work at the intersection of customers, consulting, business strategy, software engineering, and data. They will uncover the problems behind customer and internal requests, evaluate opportunities against Core America’s goals, and translate strategic priorities into a clear roadmap and well-defined product initiatives.

The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with practical execution. They are curious, creative, and adaptable as AI changes how product and engineering teams work. They can operate autonomously, influence teams without formal authority, communicate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders, and remain accountable for outcomes after release.

What you will do

· Own the product roadmap and keep it aligned with Core America’s strategy, customer needs, software revenue goals, and technical capabilities.

· Run discovery with customers, prospects, consultants, and internal teams such as sales, support, and customer success.

· Turn customer problems and strategic priorities into clear requirements, measurable outcomes, and release plans.

· Prioritize work based on customer value, business impact, effort, risk, and technical feasibility.

· Explain roadmap decisions and trade-offs, including what we won’t build and why.

· Balance near-term customer needs with long-term platform health, including scalability, security, data integrity, and usability.

· Learn how facility management and cleaning operations work and represent the customer’s perspective in product decisions.

· Work with customers, subject-matter experts, and engineers to design, test, and launch AI-powered features.

· Track product success through adoption, customer satisfaction, retention, support demand, and software revenue.

· Prepare customers and customer-facing teams for new releases, so they understand what’s changing and why it matters.

What you bring

Required qualifications

·

5–10 years of product-management experience, including meaningful time on a B2B or SaaS product, web and mobile.

· A track record of taking product work from discovery through delivery, launch, adoption, and iteration.

· Experience working closely with engineers and discussing technical requirements and trade-offs.

· Strong research, analysis, and prioritization skills, with sound judgment.

· Clear written and verbal communication, including explaining complex topics to different audiences.

· Hands-on use of AI tools, such as Claude, in daily product work, including research, analysis, requirements, and prototyping.

· Comfort working independently and moving work forward when things are ambiguous.

· Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

· Willingness to question existing processes and change them when they no longer work.

· Experience on agile or iterative software teams.

Particularly valuable experience

·

Multi-tenant B2B SaaS.

· Building or launching AI-powered features.

· Companies that combine professional services with subscription software.

· Enterprise customers and operational software, such as facility management, inspections, work management, or field service.

· Release communications, customer enablement, or go-to-market support.

Facility-management experience is helpful but not required. We value people who learn new workflows quickly, ask sharp questions, challenge assumptions respectfully, and turn what they learn into software that’s easy to use.

Location and travel

Core America prefers a candidate located within commuting distance of Endicott, New York, who can work full-time in the company’s office.

Core America may also consider:

· A candidate in the surrounding area working under a hybrid arrangement, with scheduled travel to Endicott.

Regardless of primary work location, the Product Manager should expect occasional planned travel to:

  • Customer locations for discovery, workflow observation, validation, implementation learning, and relationship development.
  • Relevant industry meetings.

Anticipated travel is approximately 10%, depending on business and customer needs.

  • Pay range: Starting at $40/hr, based on experience
  • Health, vision and dental insurance, 401(k) and generous PTO
