Senior Full-Stack Engineer – Compute Exchange

Role SummaryCompute Exchange is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to build an open, auction-based marketplace for compute/GPU capacity.

This engineer will work across frontend, backend, APIs, real-time/event-driven systems, infrastructure, and production reliability.The ideal candidate has strong React + TypeScript experience combined with backend engineering, SQL/relational databases, event-driven or asynchronous architectures, and ideally experience with marketplaces, trading systems, cloud infrastructure, GPUs/compute, or Kubernetes.Core

Responsibilities

• Build scalable backend services and customer-facing web applications.
• Develop frontend applications using React, TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
• Build APIs, AI-agent integrations, Slack apps and other user-facing integrations.
• Design and maintain event-driven and asynchronous workflows.
• Own production performance, availability, reliability and scalability.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and rollback capabilities.
• Work with SQL databases, including query optimization, indexing and performance tuning.
• Collaborate on system architecture and distributed systems.
• Use modern AI coding tools such as Codex to accelerate development.
• Work with a small, highly autonomous engineering team.

Required Skills

• 8+ years software engineering experience.
• Strong React + TypeScript.
• Modern web development: HTML/CSS.
• Strong backend/software engineering experience.
• SQL + relational databases.
• Git/Gitflow and automated CI/CD.
• Event-driven architecture.
• Durable asynchronous workflows.
• Experience with Kafka, Temporal, or similar technologies.
• Customer-facing web application experience.
• Strong system design and architecture skills.
• Ability to work core collaboration hours 11 AM–4 PM EST.

Pay: $15,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
