Job Description
We are seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer with at least 5+ years of public sector experience to design, develop, and deploy scalable artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions for key government initiatives.
The ideal candidate will bridge advanced data science and production engineering, building scalable data pipelines, developing predictive/generative models, and integrating AI capabilities into secure public sector platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, train, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models (NLP, predictive analytics, LLMs, Computer Vision) into production environments.
- Build, maintain, and optimize robust end-to-end data pipelines for petabyte-scale structured and unstructured public sector data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, government agency leads, and backend software engineers to integrate AI capabilities via secure REST APIs and MLOps workflows.
- Ensure data privacy, security, model auditability, and regulatory compliance standards required in public sector environments.
- Monitor, maintain, and fine-tune deployed models for performance, latency, and drift reduction.
Required Qualifications
- Education & Citizenship: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field. Must be a U.S. Citizen (mandatory for public sector security clearance).
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in the Public Sector (federal, state, or local government agencies).
- Core Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Python and ML/DL frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn).
- Hands-on experience with MLOps pipelines and deployment tools (Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow, CI/CD).
- Proficiency with cloud environments (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or GCP Public Sector).
- Experience with SQL, relational/NoSQL databases, and Big Data platforms.
- Familiarity with LLMs, fine-tuning techniques (PEFT/LoRA), and RAG architecture is a strong plus.
Pay: $55.00 - $100.00 per hour
