Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Job Summary

The Artificial Intelligence Engineer designs, develops, and deploys machine learning, natural language processing, and generative AI solutions supporting the NMMES program at Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA).

The role transforms ship maintenance, logistics, and readiness data into predictive insights and decision-support tools to help improve fleet availability, reduce unplanned maintenance, and accelerate work-package planning.

Duties

• Develop machine learning solutions for maintenance and readiness data.
• Build natural language processing and generative AI applications.
• Turn large datasets into useful predictive insights.
• Create decision-support tools for fleet and program needs.
• Collaborate directly with data scientists on AI solutions.
• Support work-package planning and maintenance decision-making.
• Your impact: Better insights help fleet teams plan maintenance and support availability.

Experience

• Knowledge of machine learning concepts and methods.
• Familiarity with natural language processing and generative AI.
• Ability to develop and deploy AI solutions.
• Strong analytical skills for working with complex data.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
