Cboe Global Markets is hiring a Software Engineer Intern to work with the Real-Time team on designing, developing, and supporting its exchange trading system. The intern will contribute to projects, collaborate with experienced developers, and gain hands-on experience writing production-quality code for high-throughput, low-latency systems.

Responsibilities

Working alongside our software development team to contribute to projects integral to our business. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with experienced developers and fellow interns, providing hands-on experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex systems.

You will gain practical experience writing production-quality code as you work on a high-throughput, low latency trading system in an Agile development environment

Qualifications: Candidates should be versatile, eager and able to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive financial and technical environment Applicants must be enrolled in a university or college program and should not be scheduled to graduate before December of the year in which the internship takes place Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science or related field Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms Experience with C++, or experience in another language with a strong desire to learn C++ Experience with Linux or UNIX-like operating systems Self-directed, self-motivated Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future Knowledge of at least one scripting language (Python preferred) Experience with SQL Knowledge of network programming fundamentals
