Schedule: 3x12s (36 hours/week guaranteed)

Shift: Primarily Days (potential 36/48 rotation; OT after 40 hours)

Pay Rate: $84/hr (All Inclusive)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Supervisor (RN) to lead daily nursing and clinical operations in the medical department of a secure correctional facility in California City, CA.

You will supervise nurses and non-licensed health care staff (training, performance reviews, work schedules, leave approvals, and resolving issues), provide direct patient care within your scope of licensure (triage, physical assessments, intakes, medication administration, emergency care), keep the unit adequately staffed, and report to the Health Services Administrator.

Requirements

• Active California RN license
• Minimum 1 year of clinical supervisory experience
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (degree or diploma in nursing)
• Valid driver's license
• US citizenship required for federal security clearance (thorough background and credit check; clearance takes 4-6 weeks, start as soon as cleared)
• Open availability for scheduling per the facility scheduling policy
• Preferred: Corrections experience strongly preferred
• Preferred: 1 year of professional RN experience

• Proven clinical leadership: scheduling, coaching, evaluations, and corrective action
• Strong triage, assessment, and emergency-response skills
• Sound independent judgment within policy and procedure
• Effective collaboration with nursing, providers, and custody teams
• Knowledge of correctional safety standards, medical records confidentiality, and infection control

• Setting: Correctional Facility – Inmate/Resident Healthcare Unit
• Support Staff: RNs, LPNs, Providers, Medical Staff
