Job Overview

Bolder Apps is seeking a Software Engineer to help design, develop, test, and maintain reliable software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong programming foundation, sound problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with designers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver scalable applications.

This role offers an opportunity to contribute to software projects from initial planning through implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications based on project requirements.
• Write clean, reusable, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Build and integrate APIs, backend services, and database-driven features.
• Develop responsive web interfaces and application components where needed.
• Troubleshoot software defects and improve system performance.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and technical discussions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and deliver software features.
• Apply software engineering best practices for security, reliability, and scalability.
• Maintain technical documentation and support software releases.
• Evaluate new tools and technologies that can improve development workflows.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, or C#.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
• Familiarity with APIs, databases, and software architecture principles.
• Experience using Git or other version control systems.
• Knowledge of debugging, testing, and software development life cycles.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience developing and deploying production software.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with modern web frameworks and relational or NoSQL databases.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
