Responsibilities:

  • Product Planning & Roadmap Execution
  • Partner with Product Managers and business leaders to translate strategic goals into executable roadmaps.
  • Create and maintain detailed rollout plans, action logs, dependency trackers, risk registers, and status reports.
  • Follow up on open actions, decisions, and commitments across cross-functional teams.
  • Facilitate roadmap reviews and planning sessions with stakeholders.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and potential delivery obstacles and proactively drive mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure roadmap commitments, milestones, and delivery objectives remain visible and transparent.
  • Support annual planning, prioritization exercises, and quarterly roadmap refresh activities. Ensure project artifacts and documentation remain current and accessible.
  • Product Ownership & Requirements Management
  • Own and manage the Product backlog
  • Ensure consistent articulation and documentation of product and process requirements.
  • Partner with technical teams to clarify requirements and support solution design discussions.
  • Validate delivered functionality against business expectations and acceptance criteria.
  • Continuously evaluate business processes, workflows, and operating models.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, customer experience, and delivery effectiveness.
  • Apply Lean, Agile, or process improvement methodologies to optimize operations.
  • Contribute to the evolution of Product Management and Product Operations best practices at Berkley One.
  • Product Delivery & Agile Execution
  • Prioritize work based on business value, customer impact, regulatory requirements, and delivery considerations.
  • Facilitate decision-making and remove blockers impacting delivery.
  • Monitor sprint and release progress to ensure initiatives remain on track.
  • Collaborate with IT Delivery Leads & Business Analysts to balance scope, risk, and delivery commitments.
  • Other projects and work as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, Business Analysis, Project Management, or related roles.
  • Experience working in Property & Casualty insurance environments (Personal Lines Preferred).
  • Strong understanding of insurance policy administration, underwriting, rating, or operational workflows.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban).
  • Strong project planning, coordination, and execution skills.
  • Experience managing competing priorities across multiple initiatives.
  • Excellent verbal, written, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Additional Requirements

  • Work Environment: This role is typically performed in a professional office setting.
  • Requires occasional travel, including overnight stays, to attend meetings, training sessions, or visit Berkley One offices, agency partners and others.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and scanners.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively via phone, video conferencing, and email.
  • Occasional lifting of materials or equipment up to 15 pounds.
