Software Engineer

Duties

• Design and develop high-quality software applications using programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, Ruby on Rails, and JavaScript frameworks like React and Express.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs to enable efficient communication between different software components and external services.
• Architect scalable systems leveraging microservices architecture, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure), and best practices in system design for system development.
• Implement and uphold software engineering principles including design patterns, version control (GitHub, SVN), CI/CD pipelines, and code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability.
• Collaborate within Agile teams to plan sprints, participate in daily stand-ups, and deliver iterative improvements aligned with project goals.
• Optimize web development processes focusing on front-end development with JavaScript frameworks and back-end integration with SQL databases like MySQL and system management tools.
• Contribute to the development of secure applications by implementing RBAC (Role-Based Access Control), ensuring scalability, security protocols, and API security standards are met.

Experience

• Proven experience in software development across multiple programming languages including Java, C++, C#, Python, or Ruby on Rails.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components such as cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure), Linux environments, and network protocols.
• Hands-on experience designing scalable systems utilizing microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and cloud-based solutions.
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies including Scrum or Kanban; experience working within an Agile environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of front-end development using JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular; proficiency in web development best practices.
• Experience working with version control systems such as GitHub or SVN; familiarity with CI/CD tools for automated testing and deployment.
• Ability to analyze system requirements and translate them into robust application designs using design patterns and best practices in software engineering.

Pay: $180,000.00 - $210,000.00 per year
