About this role

Overview

The Software Quality Analyst I is responsiblefor testing activities that will validate functional, and business requirements have been met during the development process. Included in these activities are creating test plans, test cases, executing test cases, logging bugs and retesting fixed bugs in product development.

This role requires the willingness to maintain a flexible schedule and perform certain duties after hours when required to limit disruption of services.

Responsibilities

  • Develops comprehensive test plans and tests cases for complex information systems and/or software programs.
  • Performs test execution to ensure proper operation ofapplication/systems.
  • Participates in all aspects of functional testing.
  • Evaluates and documents complex test results.
  • Reports issues in test management application.
  • Maintains thorough and accurate documentation of work performed to enable comprehensive information to be provided in defect reports.
  • Interacts with developers, Business Analysts and Product Owners to resolve issues discovered during testing.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or one year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer skills required
  • Experience using MS Office products and exposure to SQL database tools.
  • Other skills required
  • At least 1 year of Software Development lifecycle (SDLC) experience, project planning, scheduling, developing and implementing test plans, front-end and back-end testing, defect tracking, and processes fueling swift corrective action plans.
  • Knowledge of typical tools such as test management and bug tracking systems.
  • Willingness to learn new software and skills to expand QA knowledge.
  • Solid knowledge of IT and SW development concepts, strategies, and methodologies.
  • Good overall IT knowledge and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience utilizing manual testing methods.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to review functional requirements and/or User Stories and translate into test plans.
  • Ability to understand SDLC deliverables and the reason for those deliverables.
  • Must be thorough and attentive to detail.

Pay Range

USD $63,439.52 - USD $79,299.20 /Hr.
