We've worked on wireless innovation for decades, and we're helping shape how 5G is built and deployed.

Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a Tradeshow and Events Specialist to plan and run Airspan's presence at global industry tradeshows and customer events. This role will work closely with Marketing, Product Management, Sales, Engineering, and Executive Leadership to deliver engaging events that show off our technology, generate qualified pipeline and strengthen the Airspan brand.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can both plan the strategy and do the work on the show floor.

  • Coordinate and execute Airspan's tradeshow and event program: about 6–10 major shows a year (for example, MWC Barcelona, Connect(X)AFCEA and AFCEA)and regional operator and wireless industry events plus 10-12 smaller , customer events, meetings and partner summits.
  • Support event planning activities, including booth concept, live product demos, meeting rooms and speaking opportunities, so that Airspan's products are presented consistently with our brand guidelines and messaging.
  • Develop and maintain event timelines, project plans, and budgets for each event, and track ROI against goals such as leads, meetings booked and pipeline influenced.
  • Help build the annual global event calendar based on business priorities, target markets and industry trends.
  • Coordinate stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Product Management, Engineering, PR and Executive Leadership, and plan executive participation and customer meeting schedules.
  • Manage outside vendors and services, including exhibit houses, booth builders, AV, event agencies, hotels and travel, catering, and freight and logistics (including international shipping and customs for demo equipment).
  • Manage exhibit assets, demo equipment and storage, and help maintain an inventory plan that controls cost and maximizes reuse.
  • Support event marketing activities, including pre-show planning and promotion, event and booth messaging, meeting invitations, staffing plans and booth training. Make sure the right people attend and are prepared.
  • Coordinate social media activities in partnership with the Marketing team, including event pages, announcements, and pre-show, live and post-show posts.
  • Lead post-event reporting: lead handoff to Sales, metrics summaries and recommendations for future events.
  • Serve as a key resource for event planning and execution, and guide colleagues and contractors who support events.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in tradeshow and event management, preferably in B2B technology, telecommunications or wireless.
  • Proven experience managing large tradeshows from start to finish, including booth design, logistics and on-site execution.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage several events, deadlines and budgets at once.
  • Experience managing budgets and vendor contracts, with a track record of negotiating costs and delivering results on budget.
  • Good knowledge of major industry shows, venues and exhibitor processes. International event experience is highly desired.
  • Ability to work on your own and with many decision makers, and to lead small events on site.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and good at prioritizing in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • A collaborative team player with strong relationship-building skills, both internally and with vendors, partners and customers.
  • Experience with CRM and lead-capture tools (for example, Salesforce or HubSpot) is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or Event/Hospitality Management preferred. Equivalent direct experience in corporate events will be considered.
  • Up to 30% travel required, including international travel. A valid passport is required.
