About this role

AgReserves, Inc is seeking a team-oriented and analytical Software Engineer II to join the corporate IT department.

Summary

The Software Engineer II is a mid-level developer who contributes to full-stack software development projects, applying solid technical skills and sound judgment. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain scalable applications, while continuously improving development practices and supporting business goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Solve business problems using expertise in at least one technical area (e.g., front-end, back-end, mobile, desktop).
  • Develop and maintain software using C#, JavaScript, React, and .NET Core.
  • Write meaningful unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Break down projects into technical tasks and contribute to sprint planning.
  • Apply software design patterns and best practices to evaluate and execute tasks.
  • Document and communicate system requirements and technical decisions.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to refine user stories and deliver value.
  • Participate in code reviews and team discussions to improve development outcomes.
  • Research, analyze, and implement solutions to technical challenges.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in software development with C#, .NET Core, JavaScript, and React.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, and Git.
  • Understanding of unit testing, application design, and secure coding practices.
  • Experience with mobile and database development is a plus.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative, ownership, and curiosity in solving technical problems.
  • Ability to anticipate and communicate technical needs and challenges.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement in software engineering.
