Sr. Software Engineer - Python

Senior Software Engineer Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build and scale healthcare data solutions within a modern AWS cloud environment. This role will focus heavily on Python software engineering, data file pipelines, automated testing, and AI-enabled development practices .

The ideal candidate will have strong backend engineering experience, familiarity with PostgreSQL, and experience working with healthcare data. Technical leadership, mentorship, or lead-level experience is preferred for candidates interested in taking on additional technical ownership.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain robust Python-based software solutions Build and support scalable data file pipelines Work with PostgreSQL and other data technologies Develop and maintain reliable automated testing and production-ready software Leverage Claude Code and other AI development tools to improve engineering workflows and productivity Build, deploy, and support solutions within an AWS cloud environment Collaborate closely with the broader engineering team to design and deliver high-quality solutions Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers as appropriate Required Qualifications Strong hands-on Python software engineering experience Experience designing and developing data file pipelines Familiarity with PostgreSQL Strong automated testing practices and a track record of building reliable, production-ready software Experience using Claude Code or similar AI-assisted development tools Preferred Qualifications Previous technical leadership, mentorship, or lead engineering experience Experience working with healthcare data or healthcare technology platforms Experience developing and deploying solutions within AWS What We're Looking For Python software engineering is the primary technical requirement for this position.

Candidates should also have hands-on experience building data file pipelines and be prepared to discuss their approach to testing, PostgreSQL, AWS, and AI-assisted development tools. Healthcare data experience will strengthen a candidate's background, while leadership experience is preferred but not required.
