About the Role

Our client, a growing apparel company, is seeking a highly creative

to support its Children’s Design team, with a primary focus on Toddler Boys. This is an excellent opportunity for a designer with a fresh point of view, strong commercial instincts, and a solid understanding of the product design process from concept through final execution.

The Associate Designer will collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop current, market-relevant seasonal collections. Experience designing for toddler boys or related children’s apparel categories is strongly preferred.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the end-to-end product design process, including concepts, color, print direction, silhouettes, and execution.
  • Research market trends, retail assortments, fabrics, colors, silhouettes, graphics, prints, patterns, and competitive activity.
  • Translate research into fresh, commercially relevant seasonal concepts for Toddler Boys collections.
  • Develop color palettes, inspiration boards, graphics, prints, patterns, and silhouettes.
  • Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and support day-to-day design team operations.
  • Collaborate with print and graphics partners to deliver a cohesive seasonal product vision.
  • Partner with Product Development on fabric and trim development, including research, color comments, and lab dip approvals.
  • Work with technical and production teams to support fit, quality, and timely product execution.
  • Assist with line plans, development tracking, and communication across cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to new concepts and product-category development.
  • Follow up on development deliverables to help ensure accuracy and on-time completion.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years of related apparel design experience; children’s apparel or Toddler Boys experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and PLM systems.
  • Knowledge of 3D design tools and Browzwear is a plus.
  • Strong merchandising instincts, color sense, design aesthetic, and awareness of trend direction.
  • Strong conceptual skills in graphics, prints, and patterns.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
