How to apply faster with LandOffer Autofill on Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby
Set up the free LandOffer Autofill Chrome extension once, then fill Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby application forms in one click. It never presses submit: you read every field, fix anything you want to change and send the application yourself. This guide covers installing the extension, filling in your application profile, what to check before you submit, saved answers and what to do if the panel does not appear.
Most tech companies run their application forms on one of three systems: Greenhouse, Lever or Ashby. The questions repeat from company to company (name, email, phone, LinkedIn, work authorization, résumé), and so does the typing. LandOffer Autofill fills those forms from the profile you already have on LandOffer. It never presses submit: you read the form, fix anything you want to change and send it yourself.
This guide covers the setup, what the extension fills, what it flags for you to check and how saved answers work.
1. Install the extension and connect your account
- Open the extension page while signed in to LandOffer and click Add to Chrome for free. It opens the Chrome Web Store listing; install it from there.
- Come back to the extension page. It connects to your account on its own; there is no code to copy.
- Check Profile → Account & settings → Chrome extension. Your browser appears under Paired installs. You can revoke it from there at any time.
The extension runs in Chrome on a desktop computer. It is not available on phones.
2. Fill in your application profile once
Autofill can only fill what you have told it. Open Profile → Application profile and complete:
- About you: legal name, email, phone and mailing address.
- Links & portfolio: LinkedIn, GitHub and your website.
- Work authorization: whether you are authorized to work in each country and whether you will need sponsorship. These questions are on almost every form, so answering them here saves the most time.
- Voluntary disclosures: the optional demographic questions. Leave any of them blank and the extension picks the decline to self-identify option on the form, flagged for you to check; set an answer here if you want something else filled.
Your primary résumé under Profile → Résumé is the file the extension attaches.
3. Open a job and press Autofill
On a Greenhouse, Lever or Ashby application page the LandOffer panel appears on the right-hand side. Press Autofill. The extension then:
- fills contact details, links and the work-authorization answers from your profile;
- attaches your primary résumé where the form asks for one;
- lists every field it could not answer, so you see at a glance what is still yours to do.
Each filled field gets a small marker. Read through the form before you submit: the point is speed, not blind submission.
4. What to check before you submit
Some answers are written for you and flagged in the panel, so read these before you submit:
- Open-ended questions (“Why do you want to work here?”) get an AI draft written from your résumé, your profile and the job description, and the field is flagged as an AI draft to review. Treat it as a starting point, not a finished answer. If you would rather write them yourself, turn off AI answers under Profile → Account & settings → Chrome extension and those fields stay empty.
- Anything your profile does not contain. For a required work-authorization question with no answer in your profile, the extension fills the eligible answer and marks it as assumed; for a voluntary self-identification question it chooses the decline option. Both are flagged for a check, so read them and set the real answer in your profile so nothing is assumed next time. Optional questions your profile cannot answer are left empty.
- Agreements and signatures. Plain consent and attestation boxes are ticked for you and flagged for a check; a typed electronic signature is left for you. Read every one of them: they are your statements to the employer.
5. Saved answers
When a form asks something your profile does not cover and you answer it in the panel, you can tell the extension to remember the answer for next time. Saved answers are kept per company or for every company, and you can review, edit or forget each one under Profile → Application profile → Saved answers.
6. If the panel does not appear
- Make sure the page is the application form itself (the URL contains
greenhouse.io,lever.coorashbyhq.com), not the job description. - Reload the page after installing the extension for the first time.
- Check that the browser is still paired under Account & settings → Chrome extension. If it is not, open the extension page again to reconnect.
- Still stuck? Email [email protected] with the job link.
Where the fresh roles are
Autofill is fastest when the role is new, because fewer people have applied yet. LandOffer watches company careers pages around the clock and lists roles spotted in the last 24 hours. Sign in, upload your résumé once and your matches are ranked against it every day.
