Job description

About this role

Employer-provided description, formatted for easier reading.

Zeta helps enterprise brands connect customer data, intelligence and activation to create better customer experiences and measurable growth.

We are investing in the UK as a priority growth market and are looking for a commercially minded marketing leader to build and lead our UK Account-Based Marketing (ABM) and Customer Marketing function.

Your primary focus will be helping protect and expand our strategic customer relationships, increasing Zeta’s footprint, deepening executive engagement and turning customer success into advocacy. Alongside this, you will partner with Enterprise Sales to create qualified pipeline within a carefully selected portfolio of enterprise prospects.

Reporting to the President, UK, and working closely with Global Marketing, you will own UK account-marketing priorities, market-development investment and programme performance. You will partner particularly closely with the GVP, Customer Growth and GVP, Enterprise Sales, connecting marketing programmes directly to strategic account plans and commercial opportunities.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can set strategy, bring together cross-functional teams and personally drive execution. You will help build a repeatable UK marketing model, prioritising depth within high-value accounts over high-volume activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Customer Growth and ABM Partner with the GVP, Customer Growth and Key Account Directors to prioritise strategic UK customers and identify where marketing can materially support retention, expansion and deeper account penetration.
  • Translate customer priorities, strategic account plans and expansion opportunities into coordinated ABM and customer marketing programmes.
  • Develop targeted engagement across buying committees, address stakeholder gaps and build repeatable playbooks for priority sectors and account types.
  • Create value-led programmes that help customers understand and adopt relevant Zeta capabilities, including data, identity, intelligence, AI, loyalty, lifecycle marketing, personalisation and activation.
  • Support appropriate upgrades to the Zeta Marketing Platform (ZMP), aligning programmes with customer needs and the capabilities available to each account.
  • Ensure Customer Growth and Marketing operate from a shared account strategy, with clear commercial objectives and coordinated follow-through.
  • Executive Engagement and Customer Advocacy Build a systematic executive engagement programme across priority UK customers and prospects, strengthening relationships with senior marketing, technology, data and business decision-makers.
  • Develop executive dinners, roundtables, strategic workshops and customer roadshows that surface customer priorities and advance account relationships.
  • Coordinate Zeta executive sponsorship, ensuring every engagement has a clear purpose and agreed next steps.
  • Establish a structured UK customer advocacy programme.
  • Identify flagship customers and executive advocates, and develop customer stories, case studies, references, speaking opportunities and peer-to-peer engagement.
  • Use customer proof to strengthen existing relationships and build credibility with prospective customers.

Enterprise New-Logo Marketing

Partner with the GVP, Enterprise Sales on a tightly defined portfolio of strategic UK prospects.

Build personalised named-account programmes that create executive access, engage buying committees and generate qualified enterprise opportunities. Support competitive displacement programmes through relevant insight, customer proof and differentiated messaging.

Use account intelligence, intent and engagement signals to prioritise investment. Coordinate targeted content, digital activity, executive engagement, field programmes and seller actions around each account.

Develop a repeatable approach to enterprise demand generation, focused on opportunity quality and progression rather than high-volume lead generation.

UK Market Development

Shape and deliver a focused UK market-development programme that supports customer growth, executive access and enterprise pipeline.

Develop relevant customer and prospect events, industry engagement and partner-marketing opportunities. Build productive relationships with UK agencies, agency groups, technology partners and market influencers where they support priority accounts and commercial objectives.

Partner with Global Communications and relevant external agencies to connect UK thought leadership, executive visibility and customer storytelling with target-account engagement.

Own the UK market-development budget, allocating investment against clear priorities and continuously assessing commercial impact. Ensure local activity complements rather than duplicates Global Marketing capability.

Local Execution and Global Alignment

Establish a consistent operating cadence across Marketing, Customer Growth and Enterprise Sales.

Translate Global Marketing capabilities, content and campaigns into relevant UK account programmes. Partner closely with Product Marketing, Marketing Operations and UK Field Marketing on coordinated execution, including events, roadshows and customer engagement.

Ensure every significant programme has named accounts, clear commercial objectives, defined audiences, agreed Key Account Director or seller actions, and measurable outcomes.

Maintain visibility of account engagement, programme activity and marketing contribution in Salesforce. Build strong adoption of ABM programmes across account and sales teams, with clear ownership and follow-through.

Commercial Measurement and Investment

Establish a practical measurement framework covering account engagement, buying-committee penetration, executive access, customer advocacy, and marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced pipeline.

Work with Customer Growth, Enterprise Sales and Marketing Operations to agree consistent definitions and attribution, connecting programme performance to opportunity creation, progression and revenue outcomes.

Demonstrate marketing’s contribution to retention, net revenue retention (NRR), expansion and new-logo growth, recognising these as shared commercial outcomes.

Run regular performance reviews, capture learning and reallocate investment towards the programmes delivering the strongest results.

What You Will Bring

  • Enterprise marketing experience: Significant experience leading ABM, customer marketing, field marketing or strategic B2B marketing programmes within SaaS, MarTech, data, customer engagement or adjacent enterprise technology.
  • Proven account-based growth: A track record of building effective programmes for complex enterprise accounts, including both existing-customer expansion and new-logo acquisition, in close partnership with commercial teams.
  • Commercial and analytical strength: Experience connecting marketing investment to qualified pipeline, opportunity progression and revenue, with disciplined budget management and a clear approach to measurement.
  • Executive engagement expertise: Experience creating programmes for senior enterprise audiences, developing customer advocacy and navigating complex buying committees, supported by a strong understanding of the UK enterprise buying environment.
  • Marketing technology fluency: Experience using Salesforce and account-intelligence or ABM platforms such as 6sense or Demandbase to inform prioritisation, programme execution and reporting.
  • Cross-functional leadership: Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with experience operating within a global marketing organisation while building strong local execution. Experience building or scaling a marketing function would be valuable.

How You

Work

You think commercially, prioritise carefully and are comfortable moving between strategy and hands-on delivery. You understand that successful ABM depends on a shared account strategy and close partnership with the people responsible for customer and prospect relationships.

You are collaborative, pragmatic and accountable. You use data and customer insight to challenge assumptions, make investment decisions and improve performance. You are comfortable navigating a complex global organisation and building a function rather than inheriting a fully mature operation.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role will be demonstrated through:

  • Increased expansion pipeline and broader adoption of relevant Zeta capabilities across strategic UK customers.
  • Stronger executive relationships and deeper engagement across priority buying committees.
  • A credible customer advocacy programme with flagship customers, references and compelling customer stories.
  • Qualified enterprise new-logo pipeline and measurable marketing contribution to opportunity progression, retention and revenue growth.
  • A repeatable UK ABM and Customer Marketing model, adopted by commercial teams and supported by disciplined, effective use of the market-development budget.

This is an opportunity to shape how Zeta builds strategic customer relationships and enterprise demand in the UK, combining the resources of a global organisation with the ownership and impact of building locally.
