Yext is looking for a technically capable, commercially aware individual to join the Demo Engineering team as a Demo Engineer .

This is a mid-level role designed for someone who has built solid hands-on experience — whether as an Associate Demo Engineer or in a client-facing delivery role supporting sales, pre-sales, or product teams — and is ready to take on greater ownership, craft more sophisticated demo assets, and begin influencing how the team operates.

The Demo Engineering team supports a wide range of internal partners — including Revenue (Sales and Solutions Engineering), Client Services, Marketing, and Product — by creating everything from polished standard demo environments to visionary "art of the possible" solutions that showcase what the Yext platform can do.

As a Demo Engineer, you'll move from supported delivery to leading your own workstreams, mentoring Associates, and contributing meaningfully to the team's standards and capability.

This role is based in India and is a core part of a globally connected Demo Engineering function, working closely with Solutions Engineers, Account Executives, and stakeholders across the Yext business.

What You’ll Do

Owning Demo Asset Creation, Development & Deliverables

• Own and deliver Demo Engineering requests end-to-end, from initial scoping through to final handoff, with minimal supervision.
• Build and customise demo environments that reflect prospect-specific use cases, industry contexts, and the latest Yext platform capabilities.
• Take full ownership of Knowledge Graph data, connector and crawler configurations, and front-end customisation within demo accounts.
• Maintain and iterate on demo environments proactively, keeping them current with product releases, new features, and evolving best-practice configurations.
• Contribute to the development of reusable demo assets and standard builds that raise the baseline quality across the team.

Platform Expertise & Insight Generation

• Demonstrate strong working knowledge of the Yext platform across Listings, Search, Pages, Knowledge Graph, Analytics, and Scout
• Independently conduct and interpret Yext Scout Reports, Knowledge Scans, and Analytics outputs to generate prospect-ready insights
• Assess prospects' digital presence using SEO best practices, identifying optimisation opportunities and translating them into compelling pre-sales narratives
• Prepare and own reports and supporting materials that directly enable Solutions Engineers in pre-sales conversations — not just assist in their preparation
• Support connector and crawler setup activities, including more complex configurations, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Act as a reliable, responsive partner to Solutions Engineers, Account Executives, the RFP team, Client Success, Field Marketing, and Product.
• Contribute meaningfully to scoping calls, bringing a point of view on feasibility, approach, and prioritisation.
• Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders so that the Demo Engineering team is seen as a proactive partner, not just a request queue
• Stay ahead of product updates — including pre-GA features — and actively share knowledge across the team and with SE stakeholders.
• Contribute regularly to the SE Confluence knowledge hub, producing well-structured guides, edge case documentation, and reusable reference material.

Operational Excellence

• Own your Jira queue with discipline: tickets are accurate, up to date, and progressed without chasing.
• Take responsibility for your allocated areas of the Demo Library, ensuring they are maintained to a high standard.
• Proactively identify and flag process gaps or inefficiencies, and propose practical improvements.
• Uphold and contribute to the team's hygiene and ticketing standards — and help others do the same.

What You Have

• At least 2 years of experience in a demo engineering, solutions engineering, pre-sales delivery, or client-facing technical role — or equivalent experience executing deliverables on behalf of a global sales or solutions team.
• A degree or equivalent practical experience in Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
• Solid working knowledge of HTML and CSS, with the ability to make confident front-end customisations in a demo context.
• Familiarity with using AI tools (LLMs, agents) to accelerate and enhance demo build and customisation tasks.
• A strong understanding of SEO best practices and digital presence concepts, with the ability to apply them in a pre-sales context.
• Clear, credible communication skills — you can present ideas confidently to internal stakeholders and hold your own in scoping conversations.
• A self-starting mindset: you manage your workload, hit your deadlines, and don't wait to be told what to do next.
• The ability to balance multiple concurrent deliverables across different stakeholder groups without dropping quality.

Bonus Points

• Direct experience with the Yext platform, or a comparable brand visibility, listings management, or AI search platform
• Working knowledge of JavaScript or broader front-end development concepts
• Experience contributing to RFP responses, pre-sales collateral, or similar revenue-enabling deliverables
• Exposure to enterprise SaaS sales cycles and an understanding of how demo assets support different stages of the process
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior colleagues in a technical or delivery context.
