We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Import/Export Officer Assistant to join our team in Shenzhen, China. In this role, you will provide essential administrative and operational support to our Import/Export Officer, facilitating the smooth movement of goods across international borders. You will work in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, efficiency, and compliance are paramount.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in logistics operations while supporting critical business functions.
- Support the coordination of customs clearance procedures and ensure compliance with China customs regulations
- Maintain organized records and databases of shipments, documentation, and regulatory requirements
- Communicate with the procurement team and relevant departments to facilitate timely tax-exempt equipment imports
- Verify the accuracy of shipping documents and identify discrepancies or missing information
- Support the Import/Export Officer with administrative tasks, including scheduling, correspondence, and report preparation
- Ensure all documentation adheres to company policies and international trade requirements
- Arrange training for all requesters to enhance permit application accuracy
- Coordinate physical inspections at the Hong Kong warehouse
- Proven experience in administrative support, preferably in logistics, supply chain, or international trade environments
- Strong knowledge of import/export procedures and customs documentation requirements
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation
- Proficiency in data entry and experience with office management software and systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve documentation issues
- Familiarity with shipping and logistics software systems (preferred)
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and compliance standards (preferred)
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese (preferred)
- Experience with customs clearance processes and procedures (preferred)
