About Volta

Volta is the category-defining, fully vertically integrated AI infrastructure platform – from capital to clusters to software, under a founder-led enterprise. Our mission is The Utility of Compute™: AI infrastructure as dependable and available as electricity, for every organization that needs it.

Launched with a $10B strategic partnership with one of the leading frontier AI labs, a Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz, and a $5B AI Infrastructure Fund, Volta is building the infrastructure layer of the AI era from the ground up. We are 100+ people across London, Palo Alto, and New York, with rapid growth expectations to hundreds.

About the Role

Volta is building AI factories across Europe and North America, starting with 133MW in

Norway on NVIDIA Vera Rubin systems. Before any DSX scope lands on site, the

building has to be ready for it. Power, cooling, structure, white space and connectivity all

need to be in place, to the right standard and on the day the programme needs them. As

Technical Programme Manager, Execution Readiness, you will make sure that happens.

You will join the Global E2E DSX Execution team within DSX Full Stack Delivery,

working between the data centre build programme and the teams landing GPU

infrastructure, network and controls. You will track build prerequisites site by site, run

readiness reviews with the build team and contractors, and give leadership a clear view

of whether each site is ready to receive DSX scope, and what it will take to get there if it

is not.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership. As more of our AI factories come online, the

readiness process you run and improve will directly shape how quickly Volta turns

powered buildings into live compute.

Technical Programme Manager, Execution Readiness

What You Will Be Doing

  • Run site readiness for each AI factory, tracking the build prerequisites that must be

complete before DSX scope arrives

  • Define and maintain readiness criteria, gates and checklists aligned to the DSX

turn-up sequence

  • Lead readiness reviews and site walks with the data centre build team and

contractors, confirming works are delivered to the required standard, schedule and

quality

  • Manage dependencies across design, procurement, construction, commissioning and

network, keeping an integrated readiness schedule for each site

  • Report readiness status to DSX leadership with a clear go or no-go position and early

visibility of risks

  • Drive issues to resolution, agreeing recovery plans with the build team and suppliers

and escalating where needed

  • Work closely with Constructability, GPU Infrastructure, Integrated Field Assembly,

BMS/PMS Controls, Commissioning and Handover, and Network Connectivity so

each handover is clean

  • Partner with Strategic Operations on the tools, data and reporting that support

readiness tracking

  • Capture lessons learned from each site and feed them into standards so readiness

becomes repeatable as we scale

What You Bring

  • Technical programme or project management experience on data centre delivery,

whether hyperscale, colocation or AI infrastructure (essential)

  • A track record of already running site readiness, construction to deployment interface

or pre-commissioning work on live data centre projects at this level

  • Working knowledge of data centre electrical and mechanical systems, including liquid

cooling, and how build sequencing affects the deployment of IT and network

infrastructure

  • Strong experience with readiness gates, milestone tracking, integrated schedules and

dependency management

  • Confidence holding contractors and internal teams to standard, schedule and quality

while keeping relationships constructive

  • Experience supporting high-density GPU deployments, ideally on NVIDIA platforms
  • Clear, concise communication and reporting for senior leaders

Technical Programme Manager, Execution Readiness

  • Willingness to travel to sites across Europe and North America as required
