Our challenge
Seeking an experienced Product Owner with strong LOB/business engagement , expertise in business process/workflow analysis , and experience working in an Agile banking environment . The ideal candidate will translate business requirements into prioritized user stories and work closely with stakeholders and delivery teams.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $100k - $110k/year & benefits (see below)..
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand processes, requirements, and pain points.
- Create and manage product backlog, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Lead Agile ceremonies and prioritize features based on business value.
- Strong understanding of Banking/Financial Services business processes.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent stakeholder and LOB relationship management skills.
- Working knowledge of
SQL, databases, and data analysis
.
- Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
- Work closely with technology teams to deliver solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Analyze data and validate requirements using SQL and database queries.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, Business Analyst, or related role in banking, financial services, or a highly regulated industry.
- Demonstrated experience working directly with LOB leaders, business stakeholders, and cross-functional delivery teams.
- Strong understanding of banking and financial services business processes, operations, products, or data flows.
- Proven experience performing business process analysis, workflow analysis, requirements gathering, and process improvement.
- Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong understanding of product backlog management, feature prioritization, user story development, and acceptance criteria.
- Experience leading or facilitating Agile ceremonies.
- Working knowledge of SQL, relational databases, data analysis, and data validation.
- Ability to write or interpret SQL queries to investigate data, validate requirements, and support issue resolution.
- Experience using Jira and Confluence for backlog, requirements, workflow, and documentation management.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
