Switchboard is seeking a Commercial Banking Sales Assistant on behalf of our client, a well established community bank (company name and details will be provided during your first interview). Responsibilities
- Assist lead bankers with annual financial request collection from borrowers and complete all assigned financial input prep
- Take an active role in the full Credit Approval Process — gathering, compiling, and submitting documentation required by the Credit Analyst Department for loan applications and financial spreads
- Prepare loan packets, including Credit Presentation Checklists, Loan Officer Comments, and all supporting documentation
- Coordinate with title companies and appraisers to obtain necessary supporting information
- Handle loan closings on behalf of officers when needed
- Build thorough knowledge of client files and accounts to support effective customer service alongside the lead banker
- Participate in sales and business development efforts as directed, including calls on existing and prospective clients
- Conduct collateral inspections on selected clients as needed
- Support lead bankers on smaller ag/commercial requests including financial analysis, approvals, and closings
- Stay current on bank retail products
Requirements
- 3–5 years of banking or financial analysis experience
- High level of organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, confidential, and customer-focused
- Ability to multi-task effectively in a deadline-driven environment
- High-quality internal and external customer service
