About this role

The User Experience Research (UXR) Team, part of the larger Product Design team, provides the company with strategic insights on our customers’ needs, desires, and friction points. UXR’s ultimate goals are to truly know our customers, inform better product decisions, and to identify strategic opportunities for the company.

The team does this through a variety of mixed methods including participant interviews, unmoderated usability tests, moderated usability tests, workshops, and surveys. If you are curious, love experimentation, and have a strong desire to learn about people and what matters to them, this is the internship opportunity for you!

What you’ll be working on:

  • Assist in designing and executing research studies, while collaborating with fellow researchers, PDs, and PMs
  • Manage operational aspects of the research process including screening, recruiting and scheduling participants
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product Designers, Content, and PMs to ensure research questions map to real decisions on the roadmap
  • Develop research plans, moderator guides and other research materials needed to facilitate research, with team oversight and collaboration
  • Leverage AI to transcribe, tag, and synthesize findings
  • Analyze, synthesize findings and identify themes
  • Document findings and clearly communicate recommendations to design counterparts and stakeholders
  • Update and tag the research repository to ensure work is accessible
  • Participate in research rituals and meetings

What We Offer:

  • Home Office Setup Allowance: $300 one-time
  • Friday UberEats Allowance: $25/week
  • Learning & Development Allowance: $300/ per term
  • Fitness/Wellness Allowance: $120/per term

Candidates can be based anywhere in Canada, provided they maintain a minimum 6-hour overlap with the Eastern Time Zone and are available to work a 40-hour work week.

We’re a remote-first company, but you’re always welcome to join us at our head office on 260 Queen Street West in Toronto. We also host virtual and in-person socials where interns can connect, play games, and meet others - including company - wide game nights and events.
