Maintenance Technician - Spring Hill

Job Description: As a Hotel Maintenance Technician for the Springhill Suites Memphis Downtown, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the functionality and appearance of our property. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks and addressing any guest or facility-related issues promptly.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in a relevant field preferred.
• Proven experience in maintenance, preferably in a hospitality or similar environment.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Flexibility to work on a rotating schedule, including weekends and evenings.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and climbing.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other mechanical systems.

Preventive Maintenance

Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on equipment and facilities to minimize downtime and enhance efficiency.

Troubleshooting

Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions or guest-reported issues promptly and effectively.

Guest Service

Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns, providing courteous and efficient service to ensure guest satisfaction.

Safety Compliance

Adhere to safety protocols, maintain a safe working environment, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Record-Keeping

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment logs, and inventory to facilitate tracking and reporting.

Collaboration

Coordinate with other departments and external vendors for specialized repairs or projects, ensuring seamless operations.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
• Light work – exerting up to 50+ pounds of force occasionally, and/or 60+ pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
