Position Summary

The Senior Software Engineer will manage, support, and customize SonicWall's Oracle Agile PLM platform and support its modernization toward Oracle Fusion Cloud PLM.

Beyond core PLM, this role owns EDI and system-to-system integrations between Oracle and other enterprise systems — ERP, CRM, the data platform, and external/partner systems — and contributes to SonicWall's agentic AI initiatives by building AI-assisted automations within the PLM and integration landscape.

This is a hands-on, full-stack engineering role with a high degree of autonomy, operating within our established delivery, change, and security processes. The ideal candidate can operate and extend the PLM platform, deliver robust Oracle-to-external integrations, and apply modern AI tooling to reduce manual effort and accelerate product and transactional data flows across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

  • PLM platform: Manage, support, and customize Oracle Agile PLM (Product Collaboration, PQM, PG&C), and support the roadmap toward Oracle Fusion Cloud PLM.
  • Deliver product changes: Interface with users to develop, test, and release product and process changes, and maintain system and process documentation.
  • Support EDI & Oracle integrations: Design, build, and maintain EDI and API-based integrations between Oracle (EBS/ERP and PLM) and other systems — Salesforce, NetSuite, Snowflake, and external EDI trading partners — using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), REST/SOAP, and event-driven patterns.
  • Manage data exchange: Build and maintain data transformation, ETL, and file-based flows (e.g., FBDI/EDI documents) for reliable, near-real-time product and transaction data exchange.
  • Enable AI in PLM: Build agentic AI automations and AI-assisted tooling (e.g., MCP, LLM orchestration) that streamline PLM and integration workflows, aligned with SonicWall's enterprise agentic AI rollout.
  • Develop full-stack solutions: Build custom PLM applications and utilities (React, Java/Spring Boot, Python) and expose enterprise REST APIs to support internal applications and integrations.
  • Operate and maintain: Monitor application and integration performance, manage database upgrades, patches, and server maintenance, and write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
  • Follow change governance: Adhere to release and change processes and ensure data accuracy, governance, and compliance across the product development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 8–10 years of professional experience in enterprise PLM and system integration, delivering and owning production solutions and customizations at a senior level.
  • Oracle Agile PLM: Hands-on experience with Oracle Agile PLM 9.3.x, specifically Product Collaboration (PC) and Product Portfolio / Governance & Compliance (PPM/PG&C).
  • Agile PLM configuration: Solid command of Agile PLM configuration — Criteria, Roles, User Groups, Privileges, and Administration.
  • Agile PLM customization: Strong Java skills plus customization via Agile PLM SDK, PX development, Web Services, ACS, ACP, Events, and REST APIs.
  • EDI & integration: Proven experience designing EDI and API integrations between Oracle and external systems, using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), REST/SOAP, JSON, file-based, and event-driven architectures.
  • Full-stack development: Hands-on full-stack experience across React, Java/Spring Boot, and Python, plus building and exposing RESTful services.
  • Salesforce integration: Working knowledge of Salesforce (SFDC) integration capabilities.
  • Quality & operations: Experience with unit/integration testing, database upgrades and patching, server maintenance, and application performance monitoring.
  • Process & soft skills: Understanding of release and change processes; strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AI & agentic tooling: Familiarity with agentic AI and LLM tooling (e.g., MCP, LLM orchestration, AI-assisted development) and how to apply it to automate enterprise PLM and integration workflows.
  • Oracle Fusion Cloud PLM: Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud PLM (Product Development, Quality, Redwood UX) and Agile-to-Fusion migration.
  • Master data management: Experience with Oracle Fusion Product Data Hub (PDH) as an enterprise MDM / single source of truth for item master data.
  • Data & reporting: Data transformation/ETL, FBDI templates, OTBI reporting, and Snowflake or AWS data pipelines.
  • DevOps: Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
  • AI certifications: Certifications such as Oracle Fusion AI Agent Studio Foundations or a recognized AI/agentic development credential.
  • ITIL: ITIL certification in Release and Change Management.
  • SonicWall PLM context: Prior experience with SonicWall's PLM environment and product data processes (advantageous for a returning engineer).
