Job description

About this role

At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact.

We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.

About the Team

Spend Management Ops supports the broader Spend Management organization — Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense, Procurement Contracts, Sourcing, and Procurement — by building AI-driven solutions, managing project delivery, stewarding the data that underpins those solutions, and developing forward-looking roadmaps for each domain.

We're building this team from the ground up. That means real ownership over how Spend Management operates, not just executing tickets. We partner with the domain teams we support — co-owning the roadmap, bringing ideas to the table, and helping teams think through what they actually need rather than just responding to requests as they arrive.

We operate inside Snowflake's core values — Customer First, Integrity, Own It, Think Big, Be Excellent, Get It Done, Make Each Other the Best, and Embrace Differences — and hold each other to them as the standard, not as posters on a wall.

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst who brings deep, hands-on experience in either Travel & Expense or Procurement & Sourcing and can operate credibly on both the business-process side and the technical side.

You understand how these processes actually run day to day — the exceptions, the workarounds, the places where policy and practice diverge — and you can translate that understanding into systems, automations, and AI-driven solutions that make the process better.

This is an IC4 role: you'll take on the harder, higher-ambiguity work on the team. Success looks like shaping what we build, not just executing what's asked for.

What You'll Do

Delivery

  • Take on higher-ambiguity, higher-risk work in your domain (T&E or Procurement & Sourcing) with minimal hand-holding.
  • Proactively manage cross-team dependencies — with Engineering, BI, and the domain teams you support — rather than simply tracking them.
  • Unblock others' delivery, not just your own.

Partnership

  • Shape what your stakeholders should be asking for, rather than waiting to be asked.
  • Be trusted on prioritization tradeoffs, including the ability to say no with a reason stakeholders accept.
  • Operate as a de facto extension of the domain team you support.

Technical Capability

  • Scope and ship solutions to ambiguous problems with minimal guidance — from process redesign to automation to AI-driven tooling.
  • Before recommending a build, consistently evaluate whether the underlying process should change first.
  • Set the technical standard for your domain — your patterns get adopted by others on the team.

Ownership

  • Resolve most ambiguity independently; escalate only the genuinely hard calls, well-framed with a recommendation attached.
  • Frame decisions so others on the team can reuse the same logic.

Influence

  • Mentor or unblock colleagues working in adjacent domains.
  • Introduce approaches that get adopted elsewhere on the team.
  • Be the person others come to for a specific class of problem in T&E or Procurement & Sourcing.

What We're Looking For

  • Deep, hands-on experience in Travel & Expense (e.g., Navan, Concur, expense policy administration, T&E audit/compliance) or Procurement & Sourcing (e.g., Zip, sourcing workflows, supplier management, contract lifecycle, PO/invoice processes) — enough to be credible with practitioners in that domain.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across the business/technical boundary: you can sit in a process conversation with a domain team and a technical design conversation with Engineering/ET or BI in the same week.
  • Track record of shipping solutions to ambiguous problems — process redesign, workflow automation, or AI-driven tooling — with minimal guidance.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams (ET, Engineering, BI, vendors) to deliver end-to-end solutions, including data validation and production support.
  • Strong written and verbal communication — you can frame a hard tradeoff or escalation clearly enough that a stakeholder or leader can make a fast, confident decision.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and building the process as you go.
  • Bonus: familiarity with Snowflake, SQL, Streamlit, or other data/AI tooling used to build and steward Spend Management systems.

Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake.
