About this role
SciPlay is a leading developer and publisher of digital games on mobile and web platforms, providing highly entertaining free-to-play games that millions of people play every day for their authenticity, engagement and fun.
SciPlay currently offers nine core games, including social casino games Jackpot Party Casino, Gold Fish Casino Slots, Hot Shot Casino and Quick Hit Slots, and casual games MONOPOLY Slots, Bingo Showdown, 88 Fortunes Slots, Backgammon Live and Solitaire Pet Adventure with offices all over the world! Position Summary We're hiring an Associate Product Manager (Economy focused) to be the economic brain behind our games.
You will specialize in tuning the economy (what things cost, what they give, and how fast players progress) and you will share LiveOps, monitoring and monetization with the teams that run them day to day. If you like modeling incentives and then watching real players prove you right or wrong, this is the job. This role is part of SciPlay’s Project Rising Program.
Project Rising is an immersive onboarding program designed to quickly build your understanding of social/mobile gaming at SciPlay. Through hands-on learning, you’ll explore our history, market, and game development approach, covering core areas like monetization, product, and analytics. Topics include impact funnels, game loops, LiveOps, KPI monitoring, economy strategies, and more.
You’ll learn from SciPlay’s leaders, complete projects to apply your knowledge, and present insights on our games. By the program's end, you’ll be equipped to make a real impact within our team and on our players. We’re looking for people with high aptitude in critical thinking, sense of urgency, teamwork and drive while making cool games for a living!
Ready to rise-up with us? The economist's mindset Thinks in incentives: what a change makes players do, not only what it costs or earns. Reads an economy as flows: sources, sinks, inflation, and the marginal effect of each tweak.
Understands the tension between short-term revenue and long-term economy health, and can explain which one a decision favors. Leans on data, models and experiments over intuition, and writes the reasoning down.
What You'll Do
Help design and maintain the game economy: currencies, sources and sinks, progression, and the pricing of virtual goods, with KPIs that show whether it is healthy. Support week-to-week economy tuning: feature configurations, rewards, level progression, bonus values and offer contents, using data and experiments with guidance from senior teammates.
Build simulations and predictive models that forecast how content, pricing and balance changes might land before they ship. Help plan and run A/B tests on economy and pricing changes, read the results, and bring recommendations to the team. Help define player segments from behavior and motivation, and test economy parameters tailored to each segment.
Monitor economy health (player balances, inflation, source and sink ratios, conversion), flag anomalies, and help investigate them. Partner with Product, Design, Analytics, Marketing and Engineering so the economy supports game goals, and present findings to the team, with opportunities to present to senior leadership.
What You Will Share Co-owned with LiveOps, Monetization and Analytics Partner with Monetization on offers, bundles and price points. You help maintain the economic guardrails (value per dollar, inflation, effect on progression); Monetization owns offer execution and revenue targets. Work closely with the LiveOps team on event economies: you contribute to costs, rewards and pacing; LiveOps owns scheduling, configuration and QA.
Help Product and Monetization make the experience-versus-revenue trade-off clear. What We Are Looking For Ownership mindset; comfortable with ambiguity and switching context quickly. Nice to have Degree in economics, mathematics, statistics, engineering or another quantitative field.
2+ years in game economy, F2P product management or a closely related analytical role. Advanced spreadsheet modeling (Excel or Sheets) for balance models and simulations. Working knowledge of statistics and probability, and of simulation methods such as Monte Carlo.
Python or R for analysis and modeling. Hands-on experience designing and reading A/B tests. Understanding of behavioral economics and player motivation.
Background in mobile, online or social free-to-play games. Familiarity with LiveOps tooling and event operations, and a habit of working alongside a LiveOps team. Clear communicator who turns models into recommendations that stakeholders at every level can act on.
