Location

Dublin (Hybrid) At Salesforce, we acknowledge that talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. Millions of driven young people entering the workforce are disconnected from the economic mainstream, at a time when companies recognize a growing need for motivated and skilled employees.

The goal of our Future Pathways programs is to create opportunities for employment at Salesforce, and since 2009, we’ve supported over 1,200 ambitious young professionals in launching their careers with Salesforce.

Role Overview As a Sales Development Trainee for NGO PubSec at Salesforce, you are not just starting a career in sales - you are joining the #1 AI CRM to redefine how Non-Governmental Organisations and the Public Sector operate. You be part of an elite SDR team, Sales Development is the first team to engage with our future customers.

We are looking for curious, organised, and tenacious individuals to work closely with our sales teams, plan smart outreach, and consult prospects on how Salesforce can transform their impact and streamline their services.

This role blends sales development with operational excellence. You will leverage cutting-edge AI tools, like our Customer 360 platform, to streamline workflows and identify opportunities, building the foundational skills necessary to become a world-class Sales Development Representative (SDR).

A Unique Experience

Work & Qualification Blend

This 1-year programme is a unique opportunity to combine working towards a recognised qualification with real, hands-on experience in the role.

  • 80% of your time will be spent on the job, applying your learnings, interacting with customers, and practising the core skills required to succeed in tech sales.
  • 20% of your time will be dedicated to structured study.

In partnership with Skills to Advance, successful completion of this 1-year programme leads to a minimum of a QQI Level 5/6 qualification. You will start by understanding the business and our products before progressing to real customer interaction.

Throughout the year, you will join a wide community of programme participants across multiple business units, receiving dedicated mentorship and holistic support to grow both personally and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pipeline Development: Qualify inbound leads and prioritise high-potential opportunities within the NGO and Public Sector space using Customer 360 and AI-driven intelligence.
  • Strategic Research: Use social media and intent signals to identify business opportunities and craft data-backed outreach strategies tailored to non-profits and government agencies.
  • Operational Efficiency: Streamline internal workflows and maintain CRM data integrity to ensure our AI models and sales forecasting run at peak efficiency.
  • Customer Engagement: Gain industry knowledge to develop a strong point of view for customers, learning the skills to build and maintain long-lasting relationships.
  • Data Management: Support data cleaning and administrative tasks as business needs require, developing strong attention to detail and data hygiene practices

What We're Looking For

  • Sales Driven: A clear desire to build a long-term career in professional sales and a passion for mastering the #1 AI CRM.

  • Effective Communicator: Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex value propositions clearly and professionally.
  • Growth Mindset: A self-motivated learner who is eager to master new tools, collaborates well as part of a team, and takes ownership of their results and career growth.
  • Additional Languages: Fluency in a second language is a strong plus, though not required.

Eligibility

  • No degree required.
  • Minimum QQI Level 5, Leaving Certificate, or a Leaving Certificate alternative.
  • Must have the Right to Work in Ireland.
  • An openness and commitment to immersing yourself in the full 1-year programme based in Dublin.

  • A formal qualification, ongoing mentorship, and holistic programme support to build your network, develop your skills, and kickstart your sales career.
  • 25 days annual leave.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
