Job description

About this role

About the role

The Marketing Specialist role blends the commercial ownership of an Account Executive with the technical depth of a Solution Engineer. You'll partner with Account Executives to open, shape and close complex opportunities in enterprise nonprofits and NGOs across Australia and New Zealand.

You'll lead the product story, from discovery and demo through to business case, and help customers see how the platform advances their mission.

What you'll do

  • Co-own pipeline generation and deal strategy for named enterprise nonprofit accounts alongside Account Executives.
  • Run discovery with senior stakeholders (CEO, CFO, CIO, Heads of Fundraising, Programs and Impact) to uncover needs, priorities and compelling events.
  • Deliver tailored, outcome-led demos and proofs of concept across Nonprofit Cloud, Agentforce, Data Cloud and related products.
  • Translate product capabilities into business value and ROI, building business cases and responding to RFPs and tenders.
  • Map use cases to nonprofit workflows such as fundraising, donor and volunteer management, grants, case and program management, and impact measurement.
  • Advise on solution design, architecture and integration at a level that builds customer confidence, partnering with Solution Engineers, Partners and Success teams as needed.
  • Forecast accurately and drive deals through the sales cycle, including negotiation support alongside the AE.
  • Act as a product subject-matter expert for the team: run enablement, share competitive insights and feed customer feedback to Product.
  • Represent Salesforce at sector events, roundtables and customer briefings.

What you'll bring

  • 5+ years in enterprise software sales, pre-sales, solution consulting or a similar hybrid role.
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM and cloud platforms. Salesforce product expertise is highly regarded.
  • A track record of influencing complex, multi-stakeholder deals and contributing to quota-carrying outcomes.
  • Confident, credible demo and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical executives.
  • Understanding of the nonprofit sector (fundraising, programs, grants, donor and volunteer management) is a strong plus.
  • Commercial acumen: value selling, business case development and sales methodology (e.g. MEDDPICC).
  • Collaborative, curious and comfortable working across Sales, Product, Partners and Customer Success.

Nice to have

  • Experience selling to government or not-for-profit buyers in ANZ.
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g. Nonprofit Cloud Consultant, Administrator, Sales/Platform App Builder).
  • Experience with tender and procurement processes.

What success looks like

  • Pipeline created and closed in target enterprise nonprofit accounts, measured against a shared or specialist quota.
  • Higher win rates and faster sales cycles on deals you support.
  • Product expertise recognised by customers, AEs and Product teams.

Why join us

  • Work on a mission-driven segment that helps nonprofits increase their impact.
  • Collaborative, inclusive culture with strong learning and development opportunities.
  • Hybrid flexibility, plus volunteer time off and wellbeing benefits.
