Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Employee Success Business Partner (ESBP) to provide a full range of HR business support to our Nordics organization. In this role, you will work closely with fellow ESBPs, Centers of Excellence (COEs), and vital team members to advise, drive strategy, and influence business leaders and client groups on:

  • People Strategy & Equality
  • Organizational Design & Development

  • Engagement & Retention
  • Leader Development & Coaching

Reporting Line & Scope:

  • Direct Report: Senior Director, ESBP Northern Europe (based in Amsterdam)
  • Scope: Nordics region, with potential for additional EMEA-wide activities in agreement with the EMEA SVP, Employee Success.

Your Impact

  • Trusted Advisor: Build professional credibility and strong relationships with senior leaders across the Nordics to influence key business priorities.
  • Leadership Coaching: Strengthen leadership teams through tailored coaching and development for senior leaders.
  • Change Agent: Drive organizational change as the business evolves to deliver a world-class customer and employee experience.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Lead complex initiatives impacting client group needs, including talent assessment, succession planning, organizational design, compensation planning (equity, bonus, merit), and retention strategies.
  • People Strategy Alignment: Promote and execute People Strategies aligned with overarching business goals.
  • Performance & Insights: Provide client groups with data-driven analysis of organizational health (performance trends, engagement, attrition, diversity, etc.).
  • COE & Regional Partnership: Bridge COEs and regional HR teams to deliver seamless HR processes, programs, and policies across the Nordics.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Contribute to broader ESBP cross-functional and regional initiatives beyond immediate client groups.

Qualifications & Requirements

Required Experience & Education:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) + minimum of 8+ years of related HRBP experience; OR Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) + minimum of 6+ years of related HRBP experience.
  • Regional Knowledge: Solid knowledge of Nordic employment laws, statutes, regulations, and market practices.
  • Language Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication in English (required); proficiency in one or more Nordic languages is a plus.

  • Relationship & Influence: Proven track record of building effective relationships and influencing decision-makers across all levels of a matrixed organization.
  • Proactive Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose complex organizational development issues, anticipate business needs, and present strategic alternatives.
  • Data-Driven Storytelling: Capability to analyze organizational metrics, build compelling narratives, and deliver executive-level presentations.
  • HR Functional Knowledge: Deep expertise in staffing, leadership development, compensation strategies, and equality initiatives in partnership with COEs.
  • Tools: Working knowledge of Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, Docs, etc.).
  • Adaptability: High degree of flexibility and comfort working across hybrid and distributed teams in a fast-paced environment.
