The Opportunity

Salesforce is hiring a driven, entrepreneurial Counsel to join our Global Litigation team in a role primarily focused on offensive litigation and proactive enforcement. We deliver legal services that assert Salesforce's legal rights, protect company assets, and pioneer the responsible use of AI technology, all within a highly collaborative environment.

In this role, you will take the lead on a portfolio of affirmative matters, tackling novel legal issues in an evolving and competitive technology landscape. Your main objective is to investigate facts, build cases from the ground up, and prosecute claims to protect the business. As docket capacity permits, you will also support core defensive matters.

You will contribute to the ongoing deployment of AI tools across our practice and report directly to the Vice President, Global Litigation.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Affirmative Strategy & Enforcement: Lead proactive legal actions across our global docket. This includes, among other things, driving plaintiff-side litigation, petitioner-side arbitrations, and enforcement initiatives from early fact-finding through final resolution.
  • Defensive Support: As docket capacity permits, assist with defensive litigation and pre-litigation demands.
  • Strategic Resource Deployment: Partner effectively with outside counsel, deploying external counsel, internal talent, and advanced AI tools as an integrated toolkit to drive case strategy and budget efficiency.
  • Responsible AI Integration: Contribute to the ongoing deployment and practical use of AI tools (such as vLex, Gemini, Legora, and Relativity aiR) across our workflows. Champion the rigorous, ethical, and accurate application of generative AI in legal research and case analysis.
  • Pragmatic Legal Counsel: Deliver clear, actionable advice on risk evaluation and case strategy, making sound judgment calls with a firm grasp of real-world business impact.

You're Our Person If...

  • Legal Qualifications: Law degree (J.D.) from an accredited institution and active state bar membership in good standing.
  • Experience: 2–5 years of combined litigation experience at a law firm, in-house legal department, or government/prosecutorial agency.
  • Investigative & Enforcement Mindset: Demonstrated ability to investigate facts, build a case from scratch, and aggressively drive legal actions forward as the moving party.
  • Entrepreneurial Resilience: Comfortable navigating fast-paced environments, prioritizing effectively under pressure, and taking full ownership of complex matters.
  • Accountability & Rigor: High reliability in tracking commitments, evaluating case risks, and driving matters to completion.
  • A sense of humor!

Even Better If

  • Experience initiating or driving affirmative litigation, plaintiff-side claims, arbitrations, or enforcement actions.
  • Experience handling disputes involving confidential information, unfair competition, breach of fiduciary duty, and/or restrictive covenants.
  • Hands-on experience with the responsible application of generative AI tools in legal research and drafting workflows.
  • Familiarity with modern eDiscovery platforms and case management software. Familiarity with Relativity and Relativity aiR is a plus.
