The Experience

The Chief of Staff is a trusted advisor, strategic partner and force multiplier to the President of JAPAC, spanning North Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

Working closely with the President, regional COOs, Business and Country Leaders, and functional partners, the Chief of Staff drives strategic priorities, leadership alignment and operational effectiveness across the region.

The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking, commercial acumen and exceptional judgment with strong execution and attention to detail. They are proactive, agile and comfortable operating at all levels, from executive strategy and customer engagements to hands-on delivery. They know when to influence, act, delegate or escalate, and can represent the President with credibility and discretion.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

  • Partner with the President and COOs to shape, prioritize and drive the JAPAC strategic agenda, ensuring accountability for execution.
  • Provide strategic counsel on business performance, growth opportunities, resource allocation and emerging risks.
  • Synthesize complex information into clear insights, recommendations and decisions for executive reviews, APMs and method reviews.
  • Lead the effective operation of the Office of the President, including key initiatives, events, budget oversight and governance.
  • Design and drive the regional operating rhythm, including leadership meetings, QBRs, strategic planning sessions and off-sites.
  • Own executive meeting agendas, content, decisions and follow-through, ensuring effective leadership alignment and accountability.
  • Partner with Employee Success and leadership on organizational effectiveness, talent priorities, succession planning and change initiatives.
  • Support executive communications and continuously improve how the Office of the President operates, leveraging data, technology and AI where appropriate.
  • Shape and coordinate the President’s strategic customer and partner engagement agenda, working closely with Country Leaders and account teams.
  • Develop high-quality executive briefings, agendas, talking points and strategic perspectives, with clear objectives and follow-through.
  • Coordinate executive participation in major events, including Dreamforce, CKO and regional customer and industry forums, partnering with Communications, Marketing and other stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted extension of the President, representing their priorities and exercising appropriate delegated authority.
  • Build strong relationships across regional and global leadership, COOs, Country Leaders, OUs and functional partners.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment, resolve roadblocks and mobilize resources behind regional priorities.
  • Exercise sound judgment on what requires the President’s attention versus what can be resolved or delegated, handling sensitive matters with discretion.

You're Our Person If...

  • 10+ years of experience in strategy and operations, management consulting, transformation, Chief of Staff or related leadership roles, preferably in enterprise technology or SaaS.
  • Proven ability to partner with C-suite executives and influence senior leaders in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience in business planning, performance management and cross-functional execution.
  • Experience partnering with COOs, Finance and HR on strategic planning, resource allocation and organizational priorities.
  • Strong understanding of JAPAC markets and experience operating across diverse cultures and geographies.
  • Exceptional executive communication, presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Confidence and credibility in senior customer and partner engagements.
  • Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
