Pratt & Whitney Commercial Engines division has an exciting opportunity for an Sr Manager, Market Analytics. This assignment may be for you if you want to flex your analytical skills amongst a talented team of analysts that provides practical insights to inform senior leadership and enhance decision-making for current and future engine programs.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be involved with all facets of Market Analytics in support marketing & sales activity, our in-service fleet, as well as future product development within Commercial Engines.

  • Conduct primary and secondary market research to characterize customer behaviors, market trends, industry changes, and competitive dynamics.
  • Evaluate competitor products, pricing strategies, positioning, and market share.
  • Establish and maintain dashboards that track key market and operational metrics.
  • Support sales, engineering, and program management teams with data-driven insights in support of business cases, understanding mission & environmental impacts, and go-to-market activities.
  • Monitor industry news, regulatory, and market conditions that may affect business strategy.
  • Support market and economic analysis in support of current and future product strategy studies.
  • Analyze airline fleet and route networks and financials as needed to support sales activities.
  • Create and synthesize insights into clear and concise messages for leadership and customers.
  • Assess aircraft ownership and cash operating costs from the airline perspective.
  • Establish effective collaborative relationships across P&W functional groups to gather, synthesize, and sanitize data.
  • Support maintenance of foundational data tables and models – e.g. competitive, economic, environmental, and operational.
  • Occasional domestic and international travel is required (<10%) in support of sales activities and targeted conferences.

Qualifications

You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years of experience: Or Advanced Degree and 7 years of experience in the aviation industry, in technical and/or commercial roles
  • Experience using analytical and critical-thinking skills for the purpose of analyzing large sets of varying data and making informed business decisions.

Qualifications

We Prefer:

  • Advanced Degree in Engineering or Business / MBA
  • Understanding of engine design, operation, and maintenance principles
  • Understanding of airline financials, aircraft cost elements, operational lifecycle
  • Ability to leverage approved AI tools to accelerate and streamline insight generation
  • Ability to make reasoned judgements when information is limited
  • Public speaking skills and executive presence
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task
  • Work independently and in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to work across functions and collaborate effectively
  • Detail oriented and passionate about quality work
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Advanced Excel proficiency is required.
  • Experience with Alteryx and Tableau

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
