• The Advanced Products Center (APC) Manufacturing Engineering organization is seeking a Process Engineer I to join the CCA Process Engineering team in McKinney, Texas.
• This hands-on role operates in a fast-paced, collaborative cleanroom environment, supporting RF microelectronic packaging and surface mount technology (SMT) within our state-of-the-art Microwave Automated Factory (an ISO Class 8 cleanroom environment).
• As subject matter experts, our team plays a critical role in factory success by installing and qualifying new equipment, improving existing processes, and driving process improvement projects.
• You will work closely with product engineers, quality engineers, reliability engineers, tooling engineers, industrial engineers, and operations leaders to develop and implement cutting-edge materials, processes, and automation, while also supporting mature production processes.

What You Will Do

• Provide on-site support for high-volume, high-mix production by addressing equipment, processes, materials, and product challenges to ensure efficient operations.
• Utilize data-driven methods like SPC and DOE to develop and maintain controlled processes, including creating/updating process documentation.
• Support new product builds using automated equipment, propose solutions for next-gen designs, and drive process improvement projects to enhance productivity.
• Evaluate and qualify materials, equipment, and processes, collaborate with suppliers to resolve technical issues, and integrate capital equipment for current/future needs.
• Communicate technical information across cross-functional teams and spend extended periods in a cleanroom environment, adhering to protocols and ESD procedures.

Qualifications

You Must Have:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
• Hands-on experience with automated machines used within the surface mount technology (SMT) industry.
• Experience navigating technical requirements within IPC, J-STD and military standards and other engineering data packages (i.e. product drawings).

Qualifications

We Prefer:

• Proficient in SPC, DOE, statistical data analysis, RCCA, and identifying key process parameters for process control and qualification.
• Experienced in technical writing for operator instructions, qualification reports, and vendor statements of work.
• Proven leadership in managing projects, directing activities, and driving results with strong problem-solving skills using a data-driven approach.
• Effective team player with excellent communication skills, fostering collaboration and inclusivity in a dynamic environment.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
