What You Will Do

  • Lead the design, development, and testing of cutting-edge software in an agile, collaborative environment
  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills, the ability to thrive in small, empowered teams, and an intense desire to directly enable our customer’s success
  • Act as a technical mentor and coach, delegating tasks and providing guidance to junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Drive the resolution of complex software trouble reports, leveraging debugging tools to quickly identify and fix software defects while optimizing code for performance.
  • Provide technical leadership in an agile execution environment, driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring adherence to industry best practices.
  • Drive project success by directly contributing to requirements, implementation, and test development
  • Work collaboratively with multiple engineering disciplines to analyze, implement, and test system modification requests to the existing system baseline

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Experience with software development, test, and/or integration using Java, C++, or C#
  • Experience in agile software development methodologies, such as scrum, SAFe, or DevSecOps
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with Python is a plusExperience with Windows and Linux development environments
  • Experience with multithreading
  • Experience with networking and communications protocols
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and infrastructure such as Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket
  • Experience with containerized applications such as Docker

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
