This position is for a Manufacturing Engineering Intern on the team offering direct support to the manufacturing of air data sensors. This includes cross-functional collaboration with various organizational functions (Design Engineering, Program Office, Operations, Quality Engineering, Etc.) to ensure project milestones are achieved.

You will work in a highly collaborative engineering environment, working in tandem with other manufacturing engineers on the team. You will be able to balance program needs while providing solutions to ensure yield targets and part performance requirements are met.

What You Will Do

• Support product manufacturing in real time.
• Maintain manufacturing documentation to ensure it is accurate and readable.
• Develop/maintain tools and fixturing to assist in the manufacturing of product.
• Respond to questions from production personnel on the manufacturing processes.
• Drive small to medium-scale projects to completion to satisfy business goals: Cost reduction, Yield improvements, Quality initiatives, and Ergonomic improvements

What You Will Learn:

• Leveraging lean principles for continuous improvement on the production line.
• Application of engineering and technical knowledge to real world problems.
• Leveraging data to identify, execute, and validate process improvements.
• How to engage with and work across various functions and teams.

Qualifications

You Must Have:

• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Some experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Experience working with teams, technical or non-technical

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
