• We are seeking an Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMI/EMC) Engineering Co-op for the Spring/Summer 2027 session who is ready to take on challenging technical work and make a real impact.
• We are seeking someone who will support EMI/EMC activities for advanced products and systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in support of these activities.

What You Will Do

• Support development and qualification activities for assigned programs and projects, including testing, documentation, and project coordination.
• Support generation of documentation inputs under the direction of a senior engineer, which may include technical plans, procedures, and reports.
• Collaborate with senior EMI/EMC engineers to develop expertise in EMC topics and expand technical knowledge.
• Support and coordinate EMI/EMC development, qualification, and certification testing, facilitating effective communication across cross-functional teams and suppliers.
• Explore opportunities to improve processes, accelerate schedules, and realize cost savings.
• Demonstrate self-motivation, dependability, problem-solving skills, and a team-first approach.
• Communicate effectively with team members, management, and customers.
• Local travel may be required to support test setup and activities, and occasionally shifting of work hours may also be necessary based on program needs.
• Facilitate the growth of other team members through mentorship and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

You Must Have:

• Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromagnetic Compatibility, or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience with EMC design and aerospace standards, including MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-704, DO-160, or equivalent commercial standards.
• Experience with EMC simulation/modeling tools.
• Experience with automation/scripting of processes, including document generation.

​ Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with taking design concepts from block diagrams or requirements to developing complete hardware designs, including verification through testing and integration.
• Experience using PCB electronic circuit design software: signal integrity, power integrity and analog simulation.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or remote.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U. S. -based role.
