We partner with our LA headquarters on game development for League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, Legends of Runeterra, VALORANT and 2XKO. Riot Singapore is seeking talented, passionate Rioters with backgrounds in all areas of game development to build games that make it better to be a player.

That's where you come in.

As a Senior Manager, Software Engineering — TFT Store & Cosmetics , you’ll lead two connected engineering teams of 13 people responsible for how cosmetics are created and how players discover and acquire them.

Content Distribution builds player-facing experiences, including the Store and Treasure Realms, while Cosmetics Engineering develops the systems, tools and workflows that enable artists and content creators to build and ship cosmetics. Both teams work primarily in C++ and Unreal Engine, combining client engineering with the tools and systems that power TFT’s cosmetics ecosystem.

Based in Singapore, you’ll partner closely with colleagues in Los Angeles across Engineering, Product, Art, Design and Production.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Store & Content Distribution and Cosmetics Engineering, setting clear goals, ownership and delivery expectations aligned with TFT’s priorities.
  • Coach and develop engineers, and emerging managers, upholding a high performance bar through direct feedback, growth planning and proactive performance management.
  • Shape team structure, hiring and staffing to meet current and future needs, developing leadership capacity and making resource trade-offs across the group.
  • Own the group’s technical vision, strategy and roadmap, partnering with senior engineers to balance delivery with architecture, quality and Riot’s technology standards.
  • Align priorities with Product, Art, Design and Production across Singapore and Los Angeles, resolving competing demands and managing dependencies with central technology teams.
  • Guide reliable Store experiences and integrations with shared services.
  • Guide the Unreal systems, tools and pipelines that support cosmetics production and enable new content types.
  • Monitor delivery and operational health, act early on risks, and drive improvements in testing, CI/CD, developer experience and creator workflows.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including substantial games industry experience building game client systems, UI, gameplay or tools.
  • 4+ years of engineering management experience, including leading engineering groups of more than 10 people.
  • Strong C++ development experience, plus experience working with Unreal Engine (preferred), Unity or proprietary game engines.
  • Experience shipping game UI integrated with backend services, building tools and systems for content creation, or both, such as asset pipelines, cosmetic authoring tools, or systems that integrate animation and VFX into the game.
  • Ability to review technical designs and guide implementation decisions, including performance, reliability and maintainability trade-offs.
  • Experience setting technical roadmaps and aligning delivery priorities with Product, Art, Design and engineering partners across locations.
  • Proven experience developing senior engineers, managing performance and making hiring and staffing decisions.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with live service or free-to-play games, particularly player-facing Store, commerce, monetization, virtual goods, purchasing or entitlement systems.
  • Experience building game UI using patterns such as MVVM, including integration with server-authoritative services
  • Experience with animation, cinematics and VFX workflows, including crafting systems that can be extended by artists and technical artists.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine’s tools/systems for UI development, such as UMG, UI Materials, and MVVM.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine’s tools and systems for content authoring and editor tooling, such as Niagara, Sequencer, Blueprints, and Slate.

Our Perks:

  • Full relocation support
  • Full health insurance for you, your spouse and children
  • Open paid time off
  • Retirement benefits with company matching
  • Life insurance, parental leave, plus short-term and long-term disability
  • Play Fund so you can broaden and deepen your knowledge of our players and community through games
