About this role

About Remote

Remote is solving modern organizations’ biggest challenge – navigating global employment compliantly with ease. We make it possible for businesses of all sizes to recruit, pay, and manage international teams. With our core values at heart and future focused work culture, our team works tirelessly on ambitious problems, asynchronously, around the world.

You can find Remoters working from 6 different continents (Antarctica left to go!) and all of our positions are fully remote. We encourage every member of the Remote team to bring their talents, experiences and culture to the table to help us build the best-in-class HR platform.

If you are energetic, curious, motivated and ambitious, be part of our world. Apply now and define the future of work!

Compensation

Remote's Total Rewards philosophy is to ensure fair, unbiased compensation and fair equity pay along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate. We do not agree to or encourage cheap-labor practices and therefore we ensure to pay locally competitive rates. We hope to inspire other companies to support global talent-hiring and bring local wealth to developing countries.

At first glance our salary bands seem quite wide - here is some context. At Remote we have international operations and a globally distributed workforce. We use geo ranges to consider geographic pay differentials as part of our global compensation strategy to remain competitive in various markets while we hire globally.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location, and our job titles may span more than one career level. The interviewer will share further details with the candidate on the more restricted pay range for the role in line with their specific location.

The individual pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, internal parity, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.

The annual salary range for this full-time position is €53,000 to €69,550.

Job Description What this job can offer you

Partner directly with enterprise customers and Remote’s implementation teams to translate complex payroll and HR requirements into reliable platform configurations and integrations.

What you bring

  • Proactive, detail-oriented and analytical, with a strong problem-solving mindset and a real interest in getting things right for the customer.
  • Hands-on experience configuring HRIS, payroll or HCM platforms for enterprise customers, ideally in an implementation or professional services setting.
  • Experience delivering system integrations, both HRIS to payroll and payroll to GL/ERP. You know field mapping, sync logic, error handling, chart of accounts and cost centre mapping, and what tends to break once it is live.
  • Experience configuring time off and time tracking across multiple countries: leave policies, accrual and carryover rules, work calendars, public holidays and statutory entitlements.
  • You use AI daily: debugging integration errors, making sense of logs and data files, drafting documentation.
  • Advanced Excel and Google Sheets, and comfortable with large data sets.
  • Comfortable reading API documentation and working with engineers. You will not be writing production code.
  • Experience raising and managing engineering tickets end to end. You write an issue up with enough detail for an engineer to act on, and chase it to resolution.
  • Experience designing and running UAT, from test scripts through to resolving issues before go-live.
  • You write documentation a non-technical audience can actually follow, for customers and for internal teams.
  • Deep knowledge of global HR and payroll processes, and of data migration best practices.
  • Writes and speaks fluent English.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Project Managers and Onboarding Consultants from discovery to final sign off, working directly with customers on live troubleshooting calls, weekly working sessions, configuration walkthroughs and demos.
  • Own the build and testing of HRIS integrations between Remote and the customer's existing systems, including field mapping, sync configuration, and clearing data errors before they reach payroll.
  • Deliver finance integrations. Map the customer's chart of accounts and cost centre structure into Remote, configure pay element to GL account mappings, and validate journal output with their finance team.
  • Configure the platform to match how the customer's business is actually structured: legal entities, org and department structures, approval workflows, permissions, pay elements and custom fields.
  • Build time off and time tracking configuration, covering leave policies and variants, accrual and carryover rules, work calendars, public holidays, and how timesheet data feeds into payroll.
  • Translate customer requirements into technical specifications. Flag gaps early rather than at UAT, and work up a workaround with the customer.
  • Raise and manage engineering tickets end to end, keeping the customer and Project Manager updated on where things stand.
  • Identify recurring integration and configuration limitations, and give Product a clear picture of what blocks implementations most often.
  • Run data migration, cleansing and validation with the customer and internal teams.
  • Create UAT plans and test scripts from the customer's build, and take the customer through testing to sign off.
  • Write and maintain documentation for both audiences: client user guides and training materials, and internal SOPs, FAQs and configuration playbooks.
  • Hand over to the BAU teams on completion and support hypercare where required.

Practicals

  • Team: Global Payroll Implementation
  • Location: Remote
  • Start date: As soon as possible
